I didn't want to put it through because I have umbrella coverage for other cars and property, and my loss experience can be applied to all the policies.

Correct me if I'm wrong. If you make a claim while under insurance "X" then even if later you switch to insurance "Y" they'll increase your premium since they share files.

I know millionaires ($ 200 mills and others) who still buy their clothes at op shops .50 cents a shirt and are in their 70s and work like there is no end to their life. lol

I dont know about Matt's private fortune but even if the guy had 2-3M, it wouldnt be a reason to scrap the car just for the sake of it
