i have been renting since i was in the navy. we moved around so much i didnt want to get stuck paying on a house and having to rent elsewhere. and i didnt want to go through renting the house out, its a lot of hastle. so now we are renting and looking to buy. but it is definately better to buy if you plan to stay in the area for a long period of time.
