Overtraining

what are your symptoms

in the morning i feel like im hungover, headaches sore etc. what about you?

I just feel entirely burnt out, to the point where I lose my motivation for lifting and following a strict diet. It really plays mind games with me. I never get any physical symptoms, though. Well, maybe a loss of appetite.

In addition to zero motivation, all lifts generally go in the crapper (sure fire way to tell), concentration is difficult, excessive tiredness throughout the day, sleep pattern issues. It runs the gamut but there are also stages - it can be slight, moderate, severe so symptoms will vary with individual and severity. If it's only in the mornings and no other performance hits it likely isn't severe and may not be overtraining. It takes a lot more to overtrain than most think.

For anyone not on this forum, my first question would be to ask whether water intake is adequate. You've described some standard mild-dehydration symptoms.

I never allow myself to get to the stage where I feel as bad as you seem to. Try and listen to your body more. It often does not hurt to take an extra day off. You will not shrink if you take time out when you need it.

Hope you feel better mate...

I think a lot of people call "overtraining" a condition that is not overtraining but fatigue

Yeah, but if you train when you are fatigued, then you are overtraining.

Sure but "real" overtraining is way less common that what many people (especially newbies) think

i agree that could explain the headaches

anyone get headaches

Yes as a matter of fact, I do. Funny you mention this because I am taking a week off because my headaches got so bad from overtraining. I never get headaches normally. Theyve gone but I'm giving it a few more days to make sure I'm good to go.

Lastnight I hit back up pretty hard.. Alot of "weighted pullups" and some heavy "good mornings", Jus the two I may have overtrained.. Well I got some food and a protein shake as usual after a workout and went to bed right..

Well after about 3 hours I wake up outta a dead azz sleep and find myself laying in a puddle of sweat, cold as fuck too.. I don't know if that's a sign of overtraining or not but I jus thought I'd throw it down see if anyone else ever felt anything similar..

Kinda Sucked, but was back to sleep after a quick bathroom break and some water..

That's your CNS's way of saying 'ouch'.
Either that or the tren. :)
