I am doing a 5*5 routine were I have two bench days a week. The second bp day was usually reserved for light chest/tri work and some speed work. I was thinking about making this second bp day dedicated to standing overhead press 5*5, followed by some light tri/chest work. Does overhead strength carry over to the bench? Is working my upper body hard twice in a week not a good idea? Any other powerlifters incorporate overhead's in their routine? Thanks for your insight...
