Overall, should people get leaner or bigger?

IF you had to choose that everyone on Elite had to get either leaner or bigger, what would you choose? I say leaner, because I get the feeling that most people bulk too much and forget to lose the fat. What percentage of people on elite do you think are even close to 10% bf? Everyone says they're 15% but they haven't had it tested, which simply means "I don't know but I don't have abs."

I hate when I start looking like a football player, big but bulky! Now I'm getting lean on the last 3 weeks of my cycle and I'm loving it (prop + winny, and dropped 1000cals from my bulking diet).

Your mind can play tricks on you because you look smaller with clothes on, but once the shirt comes off it is so much better.

Even my arms look bigger when I get lean, just because more fat is lost in the torso than the arms so the proportions improve.

last year i really bulked up.. i gained 40 lbs and then this summer i lost 35 lbs and got super ripped.. no im up 30 lbs and bulking til next June, then cutting.... i dont know what % bf i am, but i can still see the abs, lol

i would say both as well, forget that 20% bodyfat big dude diesel look. those guys are a joke

Of course we want to be bigger and leaner. I'm just saying, IF it was an either bigger or leaner situation, I think the majority of this board would benefit more from getting leaner (in terms of looks).

But yeah, part of my point is that the 20% bf big dude thing is worse than just being a skinny guy who doesn't work out.

i would rather be bulky

I'd rather be ripped and lean like Pitt in fight club.

Yeah I'd rather be bigger than Brad Pitt (he is really tiny, just very ripped in that movie), but I'd rather look like that than be big but over 15%. Only fellow meatheads appreciate the big bulky look.

Excidium, cycle right now is 150mg test prop eod (it's BD and it is painless, such a relief after experiencing the horrors of Golden Triangle prop) with 50mg of winny (oral) ed. In a non-gay way (not that there's anything wrong with that), I have to say that my long-term goal would be to look like your avatar. What were your stats in that pic?

both, but with more emphasis on being lean, size is cool yet for me there is a cut off point where I personally don't look good with too much fat on me. I like a mix of the two...a little smooth and defined but thick and bulky.

leaner. most people state they are around 12-15 % but are probably 17-20%

but its all personal i know guys that wouldnt mind gaining 10lbs of fat if there squat went up 10 more lbs..

I'm tired of seeing big fat people with 18% bodyfat walk around like they are huge. That shit wears me out. They talk about their 17 inch fat shapeless arms. Makes me fucking crazy. Damn, is it just me or was that a tirade?

My favorite part is when they try to use weights that are way out of their league, then they ask you to spot them, which turns into you pulling the weight off of them and them saying, "okay, 3 more".

Bulk......mainly for strength purposes.

If your goal is strength alone that's a different ballgame and I respect the 300lbs fat guy that wins powerlifting competitions.
