Oral Test??? I'm not convinced..

So I was doing a bit of reading and came across a reference to something called Andriol which after doing further research I found out is an oral version of testosterone undecanoate.

Cross referencing "oral testosterone undecanoate" I found that it came under various names, not just andriol and was originally made by organon.

I'm pretty sure i'm not out of line with this thread, but if so don't even bother reading my questions just delete it and knock me in the head

1. Why has this NEVER been mentioned by anyone in our community? Even the Vets like Nelson / Needto / Mava / Omega etc? (besides the fact that it might possibly be ineffective)

2. How is it possible that it is absorbed through the GI tract / intestines?

3. In my researching I learned that it converts to DHT after digestion. Does all injectible test do this as well?



I thought this was a very interesting topic and I look forward to everyones thoughts.

To answer the first question you have to take large dosages for it to work, so inevitably it is very expenses and is less effective then the injectable version. Most people say its not worth it. I read up on it myself and basically everyone that has taken it says it isn't worth the cost.

it's methyl testosterone, or tesosterone with liver bypasing capabilities. It is effective, but no liver toxicity and greater potency per mg with an injectable is very desirable.

(maybe) 25 mgs will get into the system especially if you swoosh it around in your mouth for 5 minutes

What a surprise nobody has the correct answer.

There are two pathways into the body through the gut. One is water soluble that goes into the blood stream and into the portal vein system then into the liver. This is where things need to have a methyl group to withstand the first pass through the liver.

Andriol is exactly what you said it was testosterone undecanoate not methyl-1-testosterone. It uses the other pathway into the body from the gut. Through the lymphatic system. There are things called lacteals. These pull fats, read oils, out of the food in your gut. This goes straight into the blood stream, after it passes through the lymphatic system, without having a first pass through the liver. Andriol is testosterone undecanoate in an oil base.

The problem of this form of delivery is there is little or no way to control the amount of other fats in the gut. Only so much can be absorbed at a time. So if you take this stuff with a high fat meal, or even a meal with a little fat, you actually get very little of it in your system because the other fats take up the available space. So you just crap it out. Also the lacteals are an active transport system, unlike diffusion across a membrane as in water soluble delivery. so it is not always active at the same levels all the time.

You could do pretty much the same as andriol if you took a bunch of baking soda, to neutralize the stomach acid, and drank a bunch of oil based test while fasting. This will get some test into your system because it will not be broken down in your gut from the acid and there is no fat in your gut because you are fasting. But this is not a good way to build muscles.

So bite the bullet and get used to jabbing yourself if you want to up your test levels.

Methyl T is something else and is very liver toxic.

Andriol is just a very weak, poorly absorbed and short acting compound that's expensive. In other words, essentially worthless when there are so many other options.

This is all pretty close to my original assumptions, but no one likes to assume.

Oh and for the record I wasn't considering USING this instead of an IM version of test, I simply hadn't heard of it and wished to educate myself a little on its history / use.

Ive never heard anything good about Andriol...

However test has been clinically tested in administration sublingually and is shown to be effective. In addition there was an article recently in MD about a company running trials on HRT done via topical, underarm admin.

Wow that is interesting. Personaly if I HAD to be on trt, i'd just get an insulin pump and keep suspension in it
