Optimum's Opti-Pro Vanilla

I have recently begun using Optimum's Opti-Pro Vanilla MRP. I'm familiar with a few of their other products, as well as other brands of protein, as well as their odors. Is it me or does this Opti-Pro stuff really stink? When I open the container, it smells like there's something dead in there. It tastes pretty much like other MRPs, but that smell, I can't get over it. When I got the container, the heat shrink on the screw-top was in place, but the foam bottle seal was not attached to the bottle, it was up in the screw top. I noticed that smell right away when I opened it. Also, there seems to be little dark flecks in the protein.

Did I get a bad bottle or what?

Well, ive tried the opti pro just never in vanilla. So i dont if the dark specks are normal or bad. I have never noticed a akward smell coming from mine. The broken foam seal isnt a good sign though. Might be something to email optimum about. If someone here cant give you a deffinate answer, Id send the shit back
