Let me start by saying that I'm a complete newbie to cardio / strength training.
My goals for working out are to shed the fat that I've been carrying around with me for years, and to tone myself up a bit.
Here is what I am currently doing (I started a week ago), if you see any problem or have any suggestions any commentary is welcome.
Mon/Weds/Fri - 15 minute warmup/stretch followed by a 20 minute bike ride, a brief rest, and then another 10 minute ride.
Tues/Thurs - warmup/stretch followed by 20 minute dumb-bell workout
Sat/Sun - warmup/stretch followed by less intense 20 minute bike ride.
I'm into the 2nd week of this now, and I am feeling fine. I'm not too concerned with burning fat as fast as possible, or building huge muscles...just getting into shape and toning up.
Is there anything glaringly wrong with what I'm doing, or any suggestions to make it better?
