Onerep..

Yeah bro - good luck man.... Nervous?

Hey, I appreciate all this guys. Not nervous yet. My motto is and has been - Winning doesn't start on contest day, it starts right now.

The blood, sweat and tears are done, now it's time for my report card.

Good philosophy - I agree... I rarely get nervous about much of anything...

It's a great quote, I didn't make it up though. I saw it in somebody's signature. I think it was B-fold. But it spoke to me and I use it in the gym to get through the tough parts (and in the kitchen to not get into the junk food).

I guess it's gonna come down to who shows up. I've heard that there is gonna be some pretty tough competition in my weight class. I know this much though, I have made a night and day change in some of my weakest areas from my last show. I'm gonna probably be one of the best conditioned in my weight class (hopefully). I know what my weaknesses are, hopefully, my strengths are enough to make up for them. I sho appreciate everyone's well wishes.

Have a Krispy Kreme for me after the show!!!!

If no vein shows up in it from dropping my water, I may draw a smile. I expect it's going to attract attention as it is. It doesn't tan like the rest of my body. I probably won't put any Dream Tan on it just so I can have an added dimension that the judges can check out.

Better watch it, if it sticks out anymore, Jerkbox might start trying to hump it!!! ;)

I'm probably gonna have to hold off on that Krispy Kreme for a few weeks Bigdawg. I'm gonna compete again on April 10 in Panama City, FL. Then it's gonna be a celebration that Kool and the Gang would be proud of.

I'm already trying to think of ways that I can put an AVI on my EF page, so ya'll can see my night routine. I'll ask Needsize how he did his, when the time comes. You know I'm gonna post up some stuff for my peeps. Thanks for all the encouragement everyone.

FZ - It was down in his pics thread in the members pics board...

Let me know if you have problems with that. I could always host it on my site for awhile if you need server space.

were you a wrestler?
Thanks everyone. It feels good to have so much support.

I'm from Indiana, bro. You either wrestled or played basketball. At 5'6", I wasn't really the first one picked for basketball. I was however one of the best 125 pounders in Northern Indiana.

Bors and Boresses, I can't tell you how much it means to see all the comments. I'm truly moved. I woke up this morning (couldn't sleep actually) and my legs looked insane, cuts and veins everywhere. It is going to be pretty cool if I can hold things together for about 14 more hours. Sh4dow, I put your hushmail address into my cell phone, I'll e-mail you an update after prejudging (if I can think straight) so you can post it here. Thank you everyone for your overwhelming support.

Well, I tried to send an update yesterday but my phone was acting crazy. It's kind of a screwed up story but the result is, I won my weight division but lost to the heavyweight by one point for the overall. I hestitate to say too much at the risk of sounding like a crybaby, but the locals had a distinct advantage when it came to judging. I was dialed in for sure, looking better than I had ever looked in my life, so I'll post pics as soon as possible. I will also do some research about how I can create an avi or mpeg with a videotape. Thanks everyone for all the support and interest. I'm a bit dissappointed right now, I just dropped in to give an update incase my e-mail didn't make it to Shadow yesterday (which apparently it didn't). I'll be around more tomorrow.

Great job bor! The local "politics" can be a bitch. Nonetheless congrats!

Hell yeah, that's awesome onerep! Congrats!

Now.. about those pics.. :p :D

1st in class is better than third or fourth, and becoming 3repmaximum. You maintained Chamo Status, with a first in your class. Sorry you are disappointed, but hey, at least you arent having to ask Anton to change your name to 4repmax or something! :)

Wow - you won your class? That is really an accomplishment in itself. I am sorry to hear you were disappointed. I know the feelings your experiencing. What you have accomplished is phenomenal - something to think about too...some people train and compete for a long time and never win their weight class - never win 3rd place... I wasn't sure how long you've competed, but i think you said this was your second year? Fantastic. Unfortunately - politics suck and they are rampant in BB - you just have to grow thick skin and move yourself around - try to get urself up to some of the national shows and away from some of the politics. Maybe try the Pittsburgh sometime - they let you know where you stand for sure :) - take care and talk soon i hope.

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling a little better today. I am in the process of putting a few pics from a friend's camera right now. I have some better ones coming that will be here in a few weeks. I'll post them up soon. I'm gonna try to hit a show on April 3rd in Atlanta (having trouble finding info on it though) so if anyone knows about it, please post up. Then I'll compete in Panama City on April 10. I appreciate you all.

It was Dream Tan, you put it on just before you go out and wipe it off when you are done. It's a little messy, but to me, that other stuff is too much of a pain.

Onerep, let me tell you a secret: That local boy is looking as his "first place" this morning, and trying to tell himself he really beat you... but he's not quite sure. That's not a gold medal -- that's dust and ashes.

The first place that you earned is the real thing. Congratulations!

great work bro, very impressive. First in your class is nothing to sneeze at, its better than I did... That dream tan stuff is pretty damn dark too, I used 3 coats of pro tan, and if you look at my avatar no way am I even close to your colour

just glanced back at your 'done bulking' pics.. all the way to a 1st place finish.

the discipline to take it all the way like you did is rare. may you have as much success in all your ventures!

Onerep just cheched out your new pics you look outstanding! One question for you sugar where are the booty pics I requested? :qt:

You guys are all great. Thanks Digger and NS for the words. I have pretty much decided that next year, I'm gonna skip this particular show. Not just because I didn't care for the judging, there will always be politics. I got to weigh in and the scale they had said that I weighed a full 10 pounds less than I usually do. I told him it was wrong and he was like, "well it won't affect your weight class." I started to get the feeling that this wasn't going to be a very organized or professional show. They ended up using a digital scale that one contestant had in the trunk of his car. When it came time for the show, the first competitor was halfway through his routine and his music just stopped, he was looking around like WTF? The Emcee was like, "Thank you. Next!". My routine was cut at least a full 20 seconds short, I finished with my back to the audience. I was pretty hot about that. The flyer for the contest (which was mailed 3 weeks before the show) said that the winner of each weight class gets a jacket. They gave me a sweathirt that said "competitor". As far as the judging thing goes. This guy who owns the local gym brought a handful of competitors (including the heavyweight that beat me). He would come back stage, give them last minute tips, then go take his seat at the judges table. At first I thought he was a judge. He wasn't, but I'm not sure how appropriate it was for him to be sitting there with them. I wasn't the only one that fell victim to the good old boy network that night, so I guess I can't be too mad. You guys have sure helped me feel better though, thanks.

That's ridiculous man.

Don't even worry about it bro. Forget about the scale, the jacket, the guy sitting with the judges. When it comes down to it, your physique is damn impressive, and so is a 1st place finish in your weight class. Be proud my man, and go take home first overall in the next show!!!

Seriously!!! What was up with that guy sitting with the judges? NO ONE is allowed at the judges table except the judges. That was a bunch of bullshit. Was that an NPC show? The judges panel can get nailed for that one. But "Zero" is right - just move past it knowing you were the better competitor and the other guy does know it so his win is more than likely bittersweet - just like winning a show with no one in your weight class but you... Have you checked http://www.npcnewsonline.com for your contest schedule? I hope that helps. Take care.

It was an NPC show. I'm pretty sure that the whole scale incident would not be looked up too favorably either. I'm just gonna avoid that one in the future. No reason to make that kind of name for myself in the NPC community. As far as the show on April 3, It's not listed on NPC newsonline. I think I may just wait until April 10. I will definitely compete in the Southern USA in Panama City, FL that day.

Since, this is still a sticky, I'll take advantage of it to let my bors and boresses know that I'm competing again this Saturday in Panama City Beach, FL. It will be my first time on the open division. I am actually a bit leaner now than I was for my last show on March 20. Something seems to be missing though because I'm not competing with anyone that I know. I'm gonna have to recruit someone backstage to put Dream Tan on my back, unless Seashell can make the trip. I don't really have as high hopes about this show, so whatever happens, happens. At the very least, it will be fun riding me new motorcycle down there.
