one pec noticeably bigger than the other?

Hate to dig a thread up, but its the first one I found on the search regarding pectoral imbalance... I hear about this all the time, hundreds of answers are given and are then all shot down, so is there an answer? Im right handed, so my right arm is stronger, so when working my chest out, the arm does the work and not so much the right pec, but because my left arm is weaker the left pec has to do more work, is this correct? people have said to just work out the smaller peck harder and for longer, but in turn wont this make my right arm even more stronger than the left creating even more imbalance? I am constnatly checking on my form and it seems to be fine, but im just certain that because my left arm is weak the pec has more work to do than the right. Im assuming that a logical answer would be to work my whole left arm more than usual so it can build strength, then no one peck will have to work more than the other?

I have heard all kinda of rediculous things like the left pec is built differently and placed on the chest higher up because it protects the heart, and ive also heard some crap about boys having one more rib than girls which somehow makes the left pec bigger :S Hopefully someone on this forum has a good method.

Any help is greatly appreciated :D

^^^^ in the future just start up a new thread instead of digging up old ones as half the guys in this thread are banned/dead/no longer here...

as you get older and keep working out you will notice less and less of a difference. when i started pumping iron in my teens i would notice my left trap was way bigger. now as i've hammered away for years and years its evened out. will it ever be the exact same size as the other? probably not, but its not noticeable the way it was when i was 17.
