Does anyone use isopure? I just finished a tub if the stuff and didn't think it was bad at all. Just expensive.
Mavy said:Neither. Go with www.vitalus.com if you are looking for both Quality and Price. Nothing comes close to it in either (afstores ISO AGB is better quality), but no one can compete with them in the price category. YOu must order it my 20kg bags though. This is A LOT OF PROTIEN.

ChewYxRage said:I used all the whey flavorless isolate for over a year...I just recently bought a 5lb tub of ON's choc mint and a 2lb tub of their cookies and cream.
The biggest thing I've noticed is that ON gives me a shitload of gas, where I never got any from allthewhey.
gjohnson5 said:Really??? Some People get gas as protein is digested but that protein in general. I don't see how that's brand specific.... The treatment for that is tri salts , gold alka seltzer, or digestive enzymes. Digestive enzymes decrease with age so maybe if you switched back to allthewhey , you'd probably have the same problem??
Anthrax said:ON is a blend of concentrate + isolate
But who knows if it's 50% concentrate /50% isolate
or 80/20
or, more probable, 99%/1%
ChewYxRage said:Doubt it has anything to do with age.....I just switched from allthewhey to ON this week...on sunday.
I was thinking going from isolate to concentrate was the problem?
Yes , it doesn't say on the label what the concentration is , but from what I've been reading around here , what's on the label doesn't mean jack...ChewYxRage said:they should be required to put that on the label

Anthrax said:No, as long as the FDA, does no have a look on this industry manufacturers will keep on claiming absurd marketing hyped stuff about their products
That's why I don't understand how ON or any other brand can offer a good quality powder for the same price as ATW and PF since they have some marketing + packaging costs that the other 2 don't
gjohnson5 said:hey Antharax , there was a thread a while ago about IDS and a whey protein concentrate that they had. IDS labeling it had 20 grams of protein, low sodium in it but when the guy had it tested at the lab it had 6 grams of protein and it was loaded with sodium.
Lanceromance1 said:Well I've already commented on ON's quality. Games can be played with labels and the bigger companies tend to play it well. How can Optimum (and many others) sell 5lbs for $21 of quality while others can't. Hmmmmmm.
ChewYxRage said:Here's my thoughts:
Recently I read a thread claiming that ON's label claims would have to be decently accurate. The reasoning was that they are such a big company, other companies would be testing them often trying to catch them up (and therefore increasing the market share for themselves.)
I think that is pretty realistic. When your mass producing something such as ON is, you can afford to sell it for cheaper......that's just a part of business....mass production = cheaper costs for the company and the consumer.
Which also allows them a decent amount of money to spend on advertising....
ON is a much, much bigger operation than alltheywhey or proteinfactory. I have never used proteinfactory so I can give no opinion on them, however all I've heard is good things, besides the amount of time it takes for it to be shipped.
Alltheywhey I used for a year, and I loved it. I went through 5 or 6 5lb tubs of the flavorless isolate. Good stuff.
ON I just recently started using and it gives me gas. Which is a minor annoyance, but still an annoyance.
I'll prolly be switching back to alltheywhey after this whey is gone. All the whey isolate is expensive as hell (something like $35 a 5lb tub) so that is the main reason why I tested out ON. I think the money may be worth it though.
Anthrax said:I guess the more lactose in the protein powder the more gas
i use the isopure chocolate, and i find it mixes real easy w/out a blender when all i got is my spoon and a glass of milk handy.. tastes good too.Clean said:I use ON, the 10lb. bag from DPSnutrition.

eat big said:ive recently been doing ON whey chcolate mint, good results but im allergic to artificial sweeteners, so i cant eat it anymore. i just the other day got proteinfactory curstom proteins made, they didnt take 2 weeks to get here. only took about 5 days which is pretty good IMO, dps took me about 5 days also. I live in NC.it tastes alright, but i mean i cant have artificial sweeteners so there is none in it. id recommend it to anyone with patience who doesnt care if it takes a few days to get there. it def, doesnt take 2 weeks.
