On my road to becoming bodybuilder. First cycle.

Hi everyone.

My father bought me a gym membership when I was 14, and I have been training since that time. I'm 18 right now. He has always guided me, and helped me.
Right now, I'm about 195 lbs and 13% BF. Not too great I know. And as stated in the title I would very much love to become a bodybuilder. I don't have Olympia genetics but still I want to come as far as possible.

It's not a surprise that I am eventually going to need to get on gear. I have been reading a lot and people are always saying from 21-25 years old before starting a cycle. As far as i'm aware the only reason is because of your growth plates are not closed yet. I have also talked with my father. We agreed that I'm strong enough to handle the psychological effects, as I'm not going to run any heavy compounds at first. Only test e.

He has been juicing for years himself, he is just not sure how it will affect an 18 year old boy. As he started when he was 29.

My questions are:

1) Can I go to the doctor and check if my plates have closed yet?
2) If they have closed how bad can my cycle of 12 weeks of test e end?

As stated I would love to become a bodybuilder, but if it means a sterile life and on TRT till i die, I rather wait.

Steroids will rot ur kdneys kill ur liver give u cancer damage ur brain give u acne and u will die dont pump trouble son! Keep it average.

Bottom line, if the OP is serious about being a bodybuilder, cycling now will slow down results in the long run. Keep making as much progress naturally as you can. You have another 5-6 years before you peak.

Thank you a lot sir, for serious answer.
I just feel like I'm running out of time, considering how Lee Priest looked young.

Bro im 19 and I wanted to do steroids and jump on a cycle because if you have the same aspiration for weightlifting and muscle building you want to do steroids its just heaven to all of us on these forums , but you have to step outside of our little weighttraining world and realize at our age were not even near what our genetics can take us to genetically ynless your a short person 5'9 and under your no where ready for roids bro... maybe when your 230-240 you can start thinking about It but.until then man you really dont want to hinder your test for the rest of your life,.imagine a cocktail drink of hormones in your body right now, adding even a low dose of 400mg of test e a week is going to jack you up... if you weight until your 25 then hop on them its going to be better long term exspecially if you really want to compete in bodybuilding.

You can continue to grow natty for a long time bro. Your hormone levels are at they peek right now and your endocrine system is more than likely not fully developed. You don't want to risk damaging your endocrine system. Continue to tweak your nutrition and you will continue to grow for several years if your training is on par. I wish I would have started at your age!!

Well damn Im 38 and just got back into cycling after dabbling in it 12 years ago so I guess I may as well put myself in a nursing home LOL

And for fuck sake everyone quit comparing yourselves to Lee Priest. Or Arnold, Dorian, Ronnie, Jay, etc etc.

You aint like them. You aint never gonna be like them. So quit using them as the benchmark for where you should be.

I swear its like everyone is in junior high and started playing football and youre all worried about making the Pro Football Hall of Fame and winning 3 super bowls.

Im gonna tell you straight up anyone who said cycling was just heaven and a piece of cake is wrong. This shit is hard work, hard on the body, and EXPENSIVE. If you cycle right you are going to be laying out a lot of money. The right food, supplements, roids all cost a lot of money. Health risks, injury risks, hormone swings, post cycle issues, sexual sides, mood swings, injection schedules, the list is endless. Im telling you it isnt just as easy as putting a needle in your ass, sitting back, and watching yourself turn into IFBB Pro after a year or so LOL.

I agree 100%. The more muscle you have naturally the better gear will work.

I spent 20 yrs building a good foundation before touching anything (yeah i have over 40 yrs in this field) so your running out of time is laughable. Smarten up and do it right or not at all.
Not trying to be sarcastic just telling it like it is.
