On AAS, can you bulk without doing very high weights?

This is my problem: My biceps are a shame.
I started working out less than a year ago.
I am increasing weight in all other muscle group on each workout.
But not the biceps.
Another problem that happened was that I injured left biceps about five months ago. I can now do as much weight with left as with right, although it still hurts when I work out.

I have a guy at my work place who has the arms that I would like to have (he is not huge, and I don't want to be huge either).
He has been naturally working out his whole life.
But he tells me that he does curls only with 40 lbs!!!!
I am thinking of not icreasing weight too fast on biceps, but keep higher frequencies and work them every other day.
Would it work? I mean, would it help to bulk biceps?

Any input would be highly appreciated.

dont train em everyother day, that would be overtraining them, which might be your prob im just guessing but biceps are pretty small muscles, so cant be pushed to hard. i only train em 1 per week one week low reps heavy next week a little lighter and a few more reps. plus try only doing about 8 -9 sets total for bi's you may be trying too hard to get the big pipes and doing more harm then good what does your bi routine look like?

If your left biceps hurts when you work out, you need to have that looked at first and foremost....last thing you want to do is injure it worse.

Find out what the problem is and treat that first, then move on to development.

Everybody is different.
I have read a lot about training. There are so many methods recommended for training that it simply confuses you.
I have decided to go with results. And if it hurts, give it more rest.
I have been working out biceps only every 4-5 days.
My triceps and deltoids respond very well on working out twice a week - I am making huge gains in strength.
Triceps I can do every other day and make good gains.

For biceps, I was thinking of doing 75% of the full weight that I can do 6 reps with. High volume. And do it more frequently.

I was thinking of doing an MRI, but decided against it.
I probably had a tear, and whatever the MRI shows, I am not going to have surgery. I am doing everything else short of surgery.
It only hurts when I work out, and the pain is getting much, much better. It is healing.

I dont know I just kill bicpts do around 8 reps for all exercises at 100% intensity were you should be needing that break in between sets and stay basic and they will grow. There is no magic formula really lots of things will work but basics are strict form stay bellow 8 reps and give %200 with each rep.

Anytime there is pain I think it's best you let the docs decide the best course of action.

Let them decide if it's appropriate to cut up your biceps, let them make that call.

Otherwise you may be doing bicep curls one day when you feel a tinge and then feel a rip followed by intense sharp pain.......then you'll have no choice but surgery.

arm size is genetic.. I curl 85lb dbs with good form for reps and dip with my bw on my waist but my arms still suck ass. a little fruity dude at my gym has great arms and never lifts anything heavier than 35lb dbs.. if I did his workout would my arms look like his? fuck no, they'd be even tinier and flatter. whatever works for you man, what works for other people doesnt matter one bit.

If there is one muscle you don't have to worry about heavy weight on it's your bicep. I know guys with tremendous arms that never do biceps at all. You use your arms in so many other exercises that training them is redundant in some cases. That said I think you should concentrate more on isolating them than the weight you use. I suggest you use db curls on the preacher or an inclined bench back laying your arm on it from behind.

i agree
i rarely train bis and there not to bad

I have taken you people's advice.
I will not obscess about Biceps. But I will paymore attentin to deltioids, and tricps, and they are responding much better.
I will keep on working them, but at a slower pace.

I personally have curled as heavy as 85's DB's. I don't go any heavier than 50's now and I just totally own the weight. It's about stress put on the muscle, not how cool you look doing it. Usually when someone has a weak bodypart they have a difficult time feeling the muscle and getting a pump in it. Stop using momentum, squeeze the muscle and fight it on the negative. Instead of people lifting correctly they try to kill a weak bodypart with heavy weights, this usually just means the form gets worse and the bicep gets less work.
