Man, this board is going to get slow as shit with all of the extra crap being downloaded.
I haven't looked into vBulletin 3.0.0rc3 at all, but I hope they basically rewrote the thing in C for the sake of all of the extra crap being downloaded.
Or perhaps EF is now living large with a faster connection.
Bigger avatars, more text links on the screen, and the fucking descriptor tags on every single thread that has the first N characters of that thread.
I guess in the end that aside from the avatars (which are presumably a paid thing), the rest could be argued to make fewer clicks and therefore less load that way on the server.
That said, it does look like they have moved to more DIVs being used and limiting the tables as much as they can. Which is a good thing. Although it still is just HTML 1.0.

When at first I could remember the password for this account, I was going to register as something new - but then on the 5th try I got this one right.
