Is there any advantage/disadvantage to doing more on your abs Omega?

Typically I do cardio 5-6 days a week first thing in the am then do my abs after that. Could I continue doing this but with the ab exercises and reps you specify rather than doing them after legs only. Or continue as I am and doing your specific exercises and do them after legs also?
 
smith squats are tearing up my abs more than any ab exercise i've tried in the last two years.... lol
