My quads and traps are SORE AS CRAP today, feels pretty good. I'm working a lot on OLY form, as I'm thinking it will have great carryover to strongman and powerlifting. If not, at least I'll be a lot better at the olympic lifts.. lol.

Good work my man... Nice on the OHSquat...I want to try that sometime, if my shoulders can handle it.

Kinda dig this - I've been adding dimel deads after my cleans. But I may try your clean/DL + shrug next time.

Good job, too :D

I've been thinking about trying the overheads, too. but I don't think it would be very flattering to fall down trying to O/H squat an empty bar!! LOL
I think I'll have to practice in private before I try that one in the gym.

Slinky, I like the clean/dl shrug because the bottom part of my clean is TERRIBLE, lol... my hang pc is better than from the ground.

My training partner and I got this WO from an oly video he bought, i guess it first introduces the movements then puts them all together... i'm interested to see how/where this goes.

OHs are REALLY hard to get the hang of... but then they're not bad. A couple times, I'd drop the weight from overhead, then power snatch it back up... it helps to have a smooth recovery ;).

If you give them a try, I'd recommend keeping the bar as far back as you can, and think about pulling the bar apart with your arms... keeps everything more stable.

Hope i can be of some assistance :)
