Olympic bar thickness?

Does anyone know the thickness in mm of the bars used in powerlifting competitions?

I'm putting a gym together in my basement and the $99 Oly weight sets come with a crappy bar that bends with only 315lbs on it. I am going to purchase a better bar and I've found a couple of sites but the bars are different thicknesses.
Pro Power Bar (1500 lb. - Black Oxide)
Scroll down to the $135 32mm bar. This is what I'm thinking about. My current gym has two types of oly bars. The thin ones (I'm guessing they are 28mm, and the thick ones either 30 or 32mm) I like the thick bars for squats, deadlifts and bench presses. Are there any benefits to the thinner bars or should I just go with what is comfortable for me (the thicker one)?
Thanks.

P.S. I'm going to keep the cheap bar for pin presses and partial deadlifts.

I have the ELEIKO olympic lifting bar. It's 28mm dia. x 2200mm long.
The powerlifting bar is 29mm dia. x 2200mm long.
These are official competition bars specs.

Nico, thanks for the info.

I don't compete (except against my on PR's) so is there any benefit to sticking with the 28-29mm bars if I find the thicker ones more comfortable?

I compete in olympic lifting so I use my 28mm YORK and ELEIKO bars in training. But I also have a 29mm bar I use for shrugs and squats. If you're not gonna do snatches or cleans and jerks, just get the 29mm. Even so, I used the 29mm for a long time for snatches and cleans before I purchased the YORK and ELEIKO.
