Not really, you were asserting that people don't serve for a reason greater than whatever...I enlisted at 17 because it was a family tradition and a duty...I can trace military service in my family on my mother's side to a Private Cheney that volunteered to serve in the Revolutionary War.
This is exactly what I said.A wealthy man left his job to fight for his country. Would never see that now a days. RIP

Now a days most people enlist for the college $, to get away from momma and poppa, or because of the economy... This new generation is the generation of "You owe me ".
