After watching "Old Boy" a few hours after the party i was going to go to got busted right away here is my review post watching it.
*spoiler alert

Oh Daesu is a good man who loves his child. He takes things for granted and never really figures out that every tiny action and moment matters in life.

After being kidnapped and imprisoned for many years he is faced with many difficult decisions. He meets someone he falls deeply in love with. Gets revenge on most of the men that hurt him, and meets up with a very good friend of his.

During the time that he was imprisoned he learned much about himself and his best friend, his only friend became the television.

By the end of the movie, Daesu grows as a person and learns that the littles things matter so much in the end. That to be a good person, you have to positively impact everyone and take responsibility for your actions.

The man's world gets flipped upside-down, but in the end he learns how love is such a strong emotion, and people will do anything for it, even kill for it. Every second matters, time matters, and Daesu learns this and will not take love or life for granted anymore.

*tried to spoil the least i could in the writeup ariel.
kind of tired but did this in three minutes.

My view - It's jam-packed with action and different than any movie you'll see of it's kind. strong message. phenomenal camera work, good acting, lighting, and a above par soundtrack.

I liked it. Picked it up on Blu-ray last year off a reccomendation and it definitely was different and cool. Ending was kinda strange though.

Spielberg is remaking this with Will Smith.

Swipe below for major, major spoiler that probably wont be included in the Americanized version:

Do you think theyll actually have the chick he falls in love with be his daughter? Probably not.

you can't be serious.
wtf is up with holywood remaking everything.
especially spielberg

Unfortunately I'm serious.

I love me some Spielberg, but the man doesn't have the balls to make this nearly as dark and twisted as it should be.
