Pythagorean theorum should solve it.

a²+b²=c²
c=32
a/b=16/9

my calculations say you have yourself a 42 inch plasma

That would be nice but I can't see dropping more than a grand on a tv.

Sheesh. He already said it was a 32" TV. On a 32" TV (or computer monitor for that matter), the number given is the diagonal measurement, from corner to corner. The height and width will, by definition, be smaller numbers than the diagonal.

PS: Suffolk, or Nassau?

I WAS FUCKING KIDDING FROM THE GET GO!! IM FULLY AWARE THAT HE MENTIONED 32" (TUBE). WHICH IS WHY I SAID BY MY CALCULATIONS ITS 42" (PLASMA).

WHY AM I YELLING? i dont know? lol

Then you don't know what you're missing even digital pics off of satellite are 110 % better than anything you've seen

Specs show regular analog TV has 750 spectrums of color
While plasma Hi Definition is 16.5 million
I service these things so i know.

I have one & i am in awe everytime i watch it.

I have an RCA 52" HD big screen but with my digital cable the pic really isn't that great. Do I just have a POS TV??

Hi Definition Projection aren't even in the same park as plasma, don't get me wrong the picture on a HD proj is a vast improvement. But still using tubes to project
It cannot compete with plasma.

Different TVs vary in PQ but you should still get a good picture from your HD set. It may depend on how your hookup is and the cables you're connected with. You may also need to calibrate your TV. Not professionally, although that would be great, but just go into the controls and asdjust the brightness/contrast/color/ etc... to tweek it a little. A good start is to put everything at 50% and go from there untill the desired result.

I'm assuming you have satellite or Cable. Are they HD set top boxes you're using, do you have "HD" channels? HD are definately better than regular digital but the digital pic should still be good.

And just to note*** All TVs vary in size, even if they're the same "X inch" TV. I hope you're not building/buying a cabinet or something to fit the TV inside of and get the wrong size. The outside of the screen varies by a few inches from one TV to the next.

I have a 27" in the living room but still an old 19" in my bedroom. I plan to replace that next week. 36" is definitely the biggest I'd go but I am probably looking at either a 32 widescreen or 4:3.
