Okay I've decided to start trt

The Dr has prescribed me androgel but said he would give me injections if I preferred.

What's your all's opinion on what's better?
I'm not looking to have high test I just want to be around 500_600 range

221 is my current level on a scale of 350-1200

sleep apnea and cholesterol meds caused the drop in test. My dr. doesn't want to take me off the statin because my cholesterol is so high

Never done steroids I presume? Gotta go with the injects.androgel is impractical and expensive.

I've tried lowering my cholesterol through diet. It didn't work. My total cholesterol was 334. Both my mom and dad have very high cholesterol.

I've been reading Zyglamail thread on thyroid function... I'm going to look into that.

Definitely go the injection route. Androgen is an overpriced joke that can't hold a candle to IM in effectiveness

I've been reading Zyglamail thread on thyroid function... I'm going to look into that.

I have hereditary cholesterol problems as well and I had to go on meds. I am on TRT Test Cypionate and if you have a choice get the injects. The absorption rate of injects vs Androgel is no comparison.

Transdermals fucking suck. Good doctors know what we know, injections are far superior than gel, transdermals, or pellets.

if you are average to begin with and just want to be average then yeah it would make no sense shutting yourself down

pretty much, but you would be surprised what a little knowledge and going to the RIGHT DOCTOR can yield. I have argued with doctors many times when they have wanted to give me something and persuaded them to give me something else. they don't like it at ALL!! but they do eventually give in if you overpower them with knowledge.

doctors are used to dealing with old people who just take whatever the doc gives them, but with the internet today we have access to the same information that doctors have so its an even playing field, and plus with online pharmacies sometimes you can just tell the doc straight up 'hey if you won't give me X I will just go online and buy it'.. and they will capitulate to you

I strongly suggest you reconsider your cholesterol meds, they are one of the biggest scams in modern history and actually cause more harm than good.
