Okay I've changed my opinion about Muhammed Ali

After watching the Rumble in the Jungle against big bad George Foreman, Ali may have very well been the greatest of all time as most boxing experts agree upon. Foreman hit him with every thing he had and noone punches (including Mike Tyson as hard as George). Ali knocked him out by tiring him out and using his great speed and footwork. Great fight. I just never liked Ali, because of his big mouth.

Thank you. I had a thread about this and you thought Tyson was the best. But I think Ali was because when he was younger, nobody could even hit him. He could glide out of the way. He would jab you when you would move in with a hook. He literally was impossible to really hit good. But when he got older it was a different story. If Tyson fought Ali both in their prime: Ali would glide around and jab Tyson for a few rounds. Tyson is short and wouldn't be able to move in on Ali. Tyson can't do well for more than 5+ rounds. Ali would win.

Oh and also remember people thought Sonny Listong would be champ forever. Ali beat him twice at 22. People thought Foreman would be champ forever. Ali beat him. People thought Joe Frazier would be champion forever. Ali beat him twice. So basically he did fight the Mike Tyson's of his time and he won.

Bro if you want to see him at his greatest check out his fights when he was younger. His fights against Floyd Patterson, Ernie Terrell Zora Folley.

I have to agree he was a great boxer. His speed and movement offten confused and frustrated even the best fighter's and when you can do that to the best, then that has to count for alot. I like yourself dont like big talker's however if you can back your mouth by what you do in the ring then hey who am i to say anything. lol. Oh and that jab, damn, best jab i have seen to date on any fighter. so my hats off to him.

The thing that made me change my opinion of him was the movie Ali. I went from a fan to someone who thinks he's where he deserves to be physically and mentally.

Why is that? I didn't see the movie, but I did read his autobiography. I read all of the great athletes autobiography's. They are head and shoulders above the rest and they fascinate me.
