I was just reading a flyer for 7.99 a lbs for bonless skinless! WTF.

Isn't there a Costco by you? The place is the best. "Land of large packages." Seriously.. it's priced well and you can get all your meat there.

costco...

13 lbs of chicken = 32 bucks or so.

lasts a long ass time.

new york strips at 6.99 a lb and tuna steaks at like 8 dollars a pound....mmm :)

if it was open i'd go right now

Hmm...I buy a bag of frozen ones for about $7 US for 6-7 breasts, not sure
what they weigh. All I know is that I can pour a bottle of marinade in that shiz
and after a day bake them all at once for a few days of hassle free chicken
goodness.

And that shit is a better deal than Mcdonalds

I don't even look at the prices when I grocery shop.

same here. the only thing I pay attention to is trying to make healthy choices. but I havent been buying chicken much at all.

you think it's worth the extra money?
dunno healthwise, but damn it sure tastes way better. Seriously, it tastes tons better than even fresh traditional chicken. I have no idea why.

So probably not.

a report was released in the UK recently that stated organic chicken actually has less nutriants (sp) and vitamins than normally reared chickens!

well you're pretty much paying canadian prices so this whole thread owns you :)

my bro runs a millon dollar computerized chicken farm and I will not eat those birds.
they're stressed out from day 1 and i dont want that stress.

free range birds are the best

Haha, I dont get that stuff very often. A lot of times natural/no antibiotic/grass fed beef is on sale for a more reasonable price... and it tastes better.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. Where I just moved from (central Arkansas) to Denver is the chicken capital of the USA... I've never seen so many chicken houses and stuff (well once you get south of little rock). The shit Tyson sells for chicken there compared to what wild oats sells is no comparison. It's seriously disgusting compared to fresh organic chicken. As far as all the political and health benefits to eating it, I dont care about the politics of eating organic. The health benefits I have no idea about, but it tastes better. There's a significant difference in the fat content of beef between traditional and grass fed beef. Same with eggs. Flax fed chickens have a lot less saturated fat in their eggs. The whites are a lot clearer also.

Check out anything John Berardi has written for any real reading on the subject. He's a PhD in nutritional biochemistry/exercise physiology.

I'm sure my constant abuse of alcohol cancels any health benefits out.

Nothing like some 73/27 ground beef hamburgers with 8slices of cheese on them though. haha.

Fuck you.

I hear DXM has some real health benefits also.

I pay $2.59 a lb for chicken at Costco....unless I get it on sale at the grocery store for $1.99/lb -- but the grocery store chicken usually is fattier & I have to trim it, where the Costco chicken doesn't have to be......

Haha, the chicken at wild oats market I ride my bike to a few times a week is $8.99/lb for fresh, organic chicken breasts.

I know that Wild Oats. Right before I-25. They have some good sushi there too, but it is mostly an expensive specialty store. You ever hit the bar just down the street from there? Used to have live music thurs and fri and a hot little woman named Carina that couldn't get enough of MM. Ahh the good old days.

hey biatch, you missed a great show last night. Kid Rock in Vail. He played for 2 hours, did some good covers, and there was a lot of good colorado green there... and vail quality pink.

Not sure we're talking about teh same wild oats, although the park tavern is right across the street from this wild oats. Speaking of... want to drink some beer there today? I'm headed out to ride the platte and cherry creek bike trails right now but would be up for it later.
