OK Biatches....VoIP....who uses??

I have Verizon - it's ok - quality is good (depends on your phone quality too) but it takes way too long to log in online and check messages (took me 28 minutes to be able to check my messages - 28 minutes i did not have to waste).

Optonline which is a local cable provider by me offers VOIP and that is fantastic and they've changed their services so I most likely be switching my office lines to that as well.

Tried vonage - hated it - hated their customer service even more (think trying to cancel an aol account).

vonage is alright.

Faxing over it is a nightmare.

I have it setup to ring my cell as well, but when the internet is down at the house it acts funny when it 'forwards' to the cell... really weird.

Ilk uses skype to talk to me from the UK at least twice, sometimes 3 times per day.

The service is great!

and Skype's service is too.

I don't think Vonage is financially stable. A few voip co's have folded and Vonage could be next. Stick with ATT.

It depends whether you want it as a main line or a secondary line. ATT is $25/month. Skype is $90/year but you can't call 911 with it and there's no caller ID in the US.

...what provider??

Anyone like Vonage??

PingTone Communications - hosted Cisco VoIP. It's strictly for business use, not residential. What do you want to use VoIP for?
