Oil change rant

When in the hell did it become such a process to get your oil changed? NO, I do not want to buy your over priced wipers, NO I don't want you to change my air filter and rape me with yours. I don't need a diagnostic telling me shit about my car I could care less about, and if topping off my fluids means me spending more time in that dirty grimey waiting room watching snow on a 10" television then just leave them be, I'll take care of it.

I would change it myself if I didn't think it was below me. I'm kidding, it isn't below me, I wish I knew how to change it myself that way I wouldn't have to deal with these thieving Grease Monkey's, coincidently that's the name of the place I go to "Grease Monkey".

Great business idea, an oil changing garage that didn't ask you shit and changed your oil.

lolololololololol i worked at grease monkey when i was 17 , and i refused to go in and try to sell peeps shit that they didnt need

Well, sometimes you DO need that stuff. Do your filters and wipers last forever? lol I know they last long and you shouold'nt be asked EVERY TIME you go in there. They should have you in their computer and log the miles and what you need and when. THAT would be good service... Not just ask you every time you go in.

A bunch of car savy peeps in here. One more question, will my hands be getting dirty while changing this oil, if so that could be a problem ;)

Tiger, I didn't know differentcars were more expensive to get the oil changed in than others, why is that?

Wear latex gloves if you're worried about your hands, or wipe them down with a hand cleaner like gojo first.

so easy to change the oil......oil drain plug loosen, let oil drain in drain pan, remove oil filter, put a thin amt on gasket of new filter, tighten up then 1/4 turn...tighten back drain plug. fill up recommended oil...

if your car is low, what i do is ply a wide piece of board a few inches thick at home depot, drive onto it and gives you more space to use a jack.
