I do not like winter at all, and that pic just reminded me of what I'll be seeing in probably a few flippin' weeks.... :worried:

id hike in and ride,even if I just got one ride in the freshies it would be a great way to open the season unofficially

If I had my new skis I'd drive up myself - only 6 hour drive! I'd need to buy a pack for my ski tho......
 
jens I just got a totally new respect for you,most skiers are fruity buggers but driving hours for a single freshie ride is hardcore, id ride with you any day
 
The only time I like snow is when skiing and right around Christmas when everyone has their Christmas lights up (it's always so pretty and festive around that time of year)... trudging through it to get to class and scraping the ice off my windshield sucks though!

We'd have to go up on a Sunday or Monday tho - Sunday is 1/2 price Pizza nite & MOnday is pizza buffet nite. :p
 
I miss the snow. I miss just seeing it at christmas especially. That pics makes me sad. But I may be going to PA for christmas again this year and hopefully it'll snow this time.

Seeing those pics make my asshole twitch in anger as I thought of how high our heating bills get in winter and how much cash I have to shell out to stay warm.

I remember in college a lot of kids from cali and florida had never seen snow, they were awe struck by it, especially when we had a big one. Just don't roll around in it like they did, since all of them soon got sick afterwards.

I can't imagine never seeing snow....

At 5,000 feet with flakes lightly drifting over you, with evergreens surrounding you, breathing in the crisp mountain air.......*sigh* I call it God's Country - takes your breath away it's so beautiful....

You fucking lowlanders, My apt is at 5,300 ft with another 9,000 ft to go to get to the summits.

OMG! How gorgeous those pics are! I LOVE THE SNOW! I long to go back home to Jersey during the fall and winter months. I miss it so much! I guess we picked the right city in FL though. Here in Jacksonville it gets down right cold during the winter. To the point that we get hard freeze warnings! I guess I can live with that. It's actually going down to 39 degrees tonight! Yea! Ohhh, but what I wouldn't give to crunch along in some fresh snow! :flake: :flake: :cold: :flake: :flake:

calves and shins get a good workout on my board so I make sure to do extra cardio before a trip to get my muscles used to it. Going down a butter run while having your shins burn to all hell is miserable.
 
Couldn't reschedule my appts so now I have to wait till Wednesday to go up......

*sigh*

My shins only hurt cuz of the pressure of the boot pressing the sock into my shin.....or if I fall....

Hoping the new skis I'm getting will help......
