When only the top (systolic) number is elevated, doctors call this isolated systolic hypertension (ISH). The condition becomes increasingly common as people age. A person has ISH if the top reading is higher than 140 while the bottom reading is less than 90.
So I went to the machine thing that takes your blood pressure, and wow. My Systolic pressure was 140, and my diastolic pressure was 70 somethin, i think 76. Wtf? I'm only 16 years old too, and there's only a few things I can think of that would make this happen: A) heavy saturated fats in Eggnog and milk? I drink tons of those, B) overtraining...doubtful C) ???
