Oh shit.... cholesterol...what to do?!

I am in week 5 of test, eq, primo, and var. I just found out that in two weeks I need to get a blood test for the life insurance policy that my parents are setting up. Apparently the insurance company wants to make sure that the people involved in the policy are healthy. The blood and piss test is to check for HIV, drugs, and cholesterol and maybe a few others.

After five weeks my cholesterol panel will be pretty bad right? Even though I have been eating mainly egg whites, chicken, veggies and oats (very very clean?)

If I stop the var now is there any way that in two weeks time cholesterol numbers will rebound into a normal range?

Only thing I could tell you is to stop the var, and start taking niacin and policosanol. I'd say take lipitor but A) it wont work in time and B) might bump your LFT's even more than they already are and they'll think you have mono or hepatitis.

Yah, I just hope that the lady I talked to was wrong and they are only checking for hiv and drugs. If they check cholesterol it'll most likely blow their mind.

Hey bro, if you e-mail me I have something called HDL Booster, it has the policosanol in it as well as coq10, niacin, hawthorn berries and some other things that all help your HDL cholestorl levels. It worked really well for my friend. I have some extra bottles of the. (These are herbal supplements)

On average its been about 1-2 months with improvement being seen at about 3 weeks.

my e-mail adress is [email protected]

I have been using flax, sesapure, glucorell, tylers livers detox, and eating real clean, with cardio 6 days a week at 40 mins a pop. Hopefully that has kept thing within reason.???

I hate to say bad things about the AF store since their sponsers.....but their expensive, and as far as EFA's are concerned you want to get an oil from somewhere like alaska or a cold water fish oil.....I personally like nature's plus, natural factors or enzymatic therapy......They are descent prices and really the best you can get.

Taking lipitor wont shoot your LFT up to heatitis levels, thats like 1000 for ALT.....dont trip off that, doubt your LFT is bad anyway....not suprised with your chol levels, they wont correct in two weeks though......

ohhh, you'll be fine just stop the var now

haha I checked in at 385 total cholesterol about a month in last summer, nurse about shit herself.....

The var is just gonna put your hdl in the toilet. Overall your triglycerides may not be that bad and there just gonna look at the total #. I think mines like 119, yet my hdl was like 20 when i had dlood dawn for a life insurance policy.

niacin is pretty much the only thing over the counter that will happen. Start with 500mgs non flush and work up to 1g.

An insurance test?, I would not sweat it, take it, if it is high, take again after your cycle.

i just checked in at 169, ldl 109, direct hdl 48, vldl 12. wondering if i should try to lower this, 119 sounds really good. i wish mine was that low. although, 1 year ago before i ever cycled mine was 180. so it's came down even after two cycles. i take norwegian fish oil caps, 2 packets oatmeal per day with frozen unsweetened berries, and eat some veggies every day. i am wondering though, ran var july into august this year, i wonder what my cholesterol looked like then. either way it rebounded right back

You're screwed if you lipids are bad. Even statins won't change your lipid profile that fast. They will rate up your insurance. You'll have to get a policy with someone else after you fix your cholesterol. But there is a chance that you're still okay though. The profile doesn't go bad in a hurry or get fixed in a hurry.

Niacin is a well-accepted treatment for high cholesterol. Multiple studies show that niacin (not niacinamide) has significant benefits on levels of high-density cholesterol (HDL or "good cholesterol"), with better results than prescription drugs such as "statins" like atorvastatin (Lipitor®). There are also benefits on levels of low-density cholesterol (LDL or "bad cholesterol"), although these effects are less dramatic. Adding niacin to a second drug such as a statin may increase the effects on low-density lipoproteins. The use of niacin for the treatment of dyslipidemia associated with type 2 diabetes has been controversial because of the possibility of worsening glycemic control. However, a recent randomized controlled multicenter trial reports that of 148 patients, only 4 discontinued niacin because of inadequate glucose control. Doses of 1000-1500 mg per day (in a controlled release formulation) were reported as a potential treatment option for type 2 diabetics with dyslipidemia by these researchers. Patients should check with a physician and pharmacist before starting niacin.

High cholesterol: Clinical trials have most commonly studied immediate release (crystalline) niacin at doses of 500 to 3000 milligrams taken by mouth daily. Dosing may be started at 100 milligrams three times daily and increased gradually to an average of 1000 milligrams three times daily, as tolerated. Significant increases in high-density lipoproteins (HDL) by up to 30% may occur at doses ranging from 1 to 1.5 grams daily. Mild reductions in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels may occur at these doses, with stronger effects (up to 20%) occurring at higher doses (3 to 4.5 grams daily), or when used with a "statin" drug or bile acid sequestrant. The maximum recommended daily dose is 3 grams, although some studies have used 4.5 to 6 grams daily. Extended or sustained release niacin may be started at a dose of 500 milligrams daily (or nightly), and increased to 1 to 2 grams per day.

i had to do the same thing, I was terrible they said I must be drinking everyday for the last 10 years to have those numbers

Your goals:
1- quit being a pussy and try to crush everyone every day. if someone at your gym lifts more than you make it your one undying goal to beat them. when you lift more than everyone at your gym, find a new gym.
2- fuck the concepts, fuck the strategies, just put up bigger weights.
3- stop with the fucking geigh cable crossovers and bullshit rear delt machines, and any machines and pretty much all the cables for that matter.
4- hit the big lifts. do shoulder and overhead press stuff standing.
5- eat until you are going to puke and quit worrying about being ripped.

there is you day to day, lift to lift instructions.

Verry nice quote! Im going to keep that!
