Yep. It's supposed to be a 5 hour show. I was gonna watch it in a sports bar then I said fuck that. I like wrestling but I think that's too long to have to watch it in a sportsbar.

Yep. I'm watching it too. Got the beer iced down & ready to go. I'm sure I'll regret it tomorrow though....heheh.

Goldberg spears then jackhammers Lesnar for the 1,2,3. StoneCold (the guest referee) then puts the Stunner on both of their asses & proceeds to woof down about 6-8 beers....heheh

The Rock & Sock Connection Lost?!?!

Well I was surprised by that. It seemed like it would be a given they would win at Wrestlemania. WTF is the point of them coming for Wrestlemania just to lose?

I kinda enjoyed watching the Hall of Famers. A few of my favorites were : Don Muraco, Dr. Billy Graham & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. Valentine still looked a little crazy to me...hehe. Others who were inducted were Bobby Heenan, Mean Gene, Tito Santana, JunkYard Dog, Jesse the Body Ventura, Big John Studd & of course Pete Rose.

God I wish wrestling was real.

I know man. Everybody & their brother knows it's all bullshit but I swear, there's not an empty seat in the house.

Currently on : HBK vs Benoit vs HHH. There's blood flying everywhere in this one.

The point of that was too push the newer talent (Orton & Batista). The Rock was there to be seen because he has a movie coming out--Foley is back for the payday and is scheduled to stay with the company a bit longer.

Just finished watching the 4 hour 40 minute show.....
1. Too long of a show. The 3-hour shows are better.
2. The best match was the main event (HHH vs Michaels vs Benoit) followed by the Jericho vs Christian match.
3. HHH got fat--now that he got the belt taken away, he needs to take a month or two off and work the frig out!!
4. I fell asleep during the Eddie vs Angle match--My GF had to wake me up...the last five minutes of that match was pretty good as was the ending.
5. Word I just got was Austin thought Lesner was going to walk out during the match.....notice in the beginning when Austin looks at Lesner and then both Austin & Goldberg look at each other with a weird look. Lesner did the right thing by continuing on with the match and taking the stunner from Austin. My guess is Lesner is no doubt leaving because he jobbed to Goldberg who is also leaving. The goal of that match was to put Austin over (which they did) because both guys are leaving.
6. Trish's boobs looked great---Torrie's ass was amazing--Sable looks great for an older lady----Torrie is still the best.
7. Michaels looked like he was dead at one point---he was laying in the ring motionless and his face was covered with blood--
8. Best crowd reaction was for Lesner leaving (they sang nanananananana hayhay good bye)
9. Disappointing that there were no surprises.....As of Saturday Bret Hart was confirmed but cancelled...Hulk Hogan was confirmed but did not show...Brutus Beefcake (who really cares) was supposed be the barber in the Victoria vs Molly match but that fell through. If you noticed, they did a lot of stalling during the show because they had to fill time...I have been told they were going to do a McMahon/Hart angle but it fell through at the last moment (Hart's decision)..instead McMahon came out and thanked the crowd for all their support.
10. Shawn Michaels looked and wrestled amazing....For an older wrestler and a guy who came back from a career ending injury, he was one of the best wrestlers on the show. Michaels, Benoit, Kidman, Jericho, Christian and Flair were the stars of he show.

Overall it was an ok show...worth $49.95...????...I have not watched WWE for a while so I cannot compare to the TV shows but I thought everyone worked hard tonight.

well put Avenirup.

My fav entertaining moment of the night was when the Undertaker came back. One of the best entrances in a long time.

I was odd to wach Lesner reacting to the crowd.

I wish Heart came back.

Lesner looked like he wanted to walk...the crowd was getting on him and from what I have been told the guys in the back are happy to see him go (if he actually does go). At least he gets to go home with Sable….Goldberg was given the match because he may return at some point. My guess is he was booed because the crowd knew he was also leaving. I think it was a classy move for both Goldberg and Lesner to take the stunner-they did not have to because they are leaving.
The Undertaker return was cool and he had a predictable match with Kane. He has an insane tattoo on his neck of his wife's name-that could not have felt that good.
It does suck Hart didn't come back--maybe next year.

i think Benoit put more into that match physically than HHH or Michaels did. i honestly did not think they were going to give it to him, and im glad i was wrong.

of course we knew Undertaker was going to win. there was no doubt in anyone's mind. especially with his Wrestlemania streak (now 12-0). but the entrance and his attitude in the ring made it all worth it. good to see the Dead Man back, and not the "Bad Ass."

still shocked Molly got her head shaved. wow.

Trish turning on Y2J suprised me. when she came to the ring i said "she's gonna cost him the match" but i did not expect what was going to happen afterwards.

Gurrero had an innovative win. i liked that. and it wasn't even cheating, unless you count that he had his feet wrapped slightly around the ropes ;)

Rock and Sock.....now this pissed me off. I'm a Foley fan. he's the ONLY reason i ever started watching wrestling because i got such a kick out of his persona that i had to watch wrestling just to see what he'd say next. eventually i got into the matches, and it grew from there. i was pissed off when they brought the Rock back for that match. i was hoping for a 1 on 1 match between Foley and Orton that they could eventually build up to a Hell in the Cell match in a month or two. That is still possible, as Foley has never had a fair shot against Orton. i'd like to see it happen. i'd also like to see Foley win, but Vince seems to be able to fuck up a wet dream with the way story lines have been going, so nothing will play out right.

all in all i thought it was a good night. better than more recent PPVs.

and again, glad to see Benoit with the title. he's earned it. Prior to the Rumble he really started picking up the intensity and brutality of his matches. he's definetly giving his performances everything he has. glad to see him out on top. just hope they let him stay there for a while. he deserves it.

Lesnar vs. Goldberg was one of the worst matches ever. Knowing that Lesnar was gone, probably for good...and that Goldberg would either leave and come back...or even possibly stay for a better contract offer...I'd have had Goldberg come in and absolutely crush Lesnar with Austin's help. That slow-paced shit they did killed the crowd.

Lesner would have not have allowed himself to get squashed. If you noticed in the first part of the match he was giving Goldberg a hard time. In his short time in the biz he has developed a huge ego (many of the guys Vince gives huge pushes to develop this same big ego, some of those include--Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, HHH, Hulk Hogan (80's), etc)

Dude........I missed it......my little girl had a doubleheader soccer tournament........

What the hell happened with Taker.??????

How did he come into the ringl............riding a bike??? Or old school Taker????

I gotta grow up........ :)

An updated version of the "old school" Undertaker...

If that's the case, you get Goldberg to throw on a legit choke and have Austin call for the bell. Squashed without a say in the matter. Anything would have been better than that exchange of shoulder blocks and tests of strength.

Brock is a strong guy...it would not be that easy..The reason why all the shoulder blocks and tests of strength is because Lesner was not cooperating. The match did suck but Goldberg actually had one of the best moves of the night when he pressed Lesner above his head, dropped and caught him ending the move in a modified powerbomb....If Lesner was staying (which he may still do), that match would have been totally different. I have the replay for free (it better be) and just watched the match again. The second time isn't as bad as the first---but it is still not good. The crowd pop when Austin stunned both of them was awesome....

I agree Benoit deserved the title, he just needs to work on his interview skills....I did not think Molly would get shaved either, she is cute in a weird way...Doubt we will see a Foley Hell in a Cell but you never know. It all depends on the payday. Foley has not been in wrestling shape for years but still takes bumps with the best of them. It was an ok night but nothing compared to the greatest wrestling PPV ever-WrestleMania 3....

Warning: Do not take T-Rex too late...you will be up on the C&C too early in the morning...

Post WrestleMania news:
1. Benoit got a standing ovation from the crowd and people backstage as he walked up the ramp on his way to the back.(this was not shown on TV)
2. WWE confirmed (backstage staff meeting) that Brock Lesner is taking time away from wrestling to try out for the NFL this season. If he does not make it, I am sure he will resign with WWE if he wants the travel schedule. He jobbed to Goldberg and let Austin stun him, so he did not burn any bridges with WWE management....He is walking away from a 1.25m contract (that figure includes salary + bonus), in hopes to get around the same or slightly less from the NFL (a lot less travel).
3. Hart cancelled his appearance on Friday.(some people I spoke say he cancelled before then)
4. Hogan confirmed but didn't appear because of a leg or ankle injury.
5. Guys with big WrestleMania bonuses--Austin, Eddie, Angle, Benoit, HHH, Michaels, Undertaker---the average main eventer at a WM gets $250k--not bad for a nights work. Largest WM bonus was Hulk Hogan for WM 5 when he got 1.8m-more than what some people make in a life time....
6. I also heard that if Lesner did not do what was asked of him there were guys backstage waiting for him...he obviously did what he was told. The most famous story about guys waiting incase other wrestlers do not job was at WM 14. Shawn Michaels vs Austin in which was the match that started the Austin era almost didn't end the way it did. Michaels at the time was really cocky and arrogant and pretty much did what he wanted. He and Austin were not friends but not enemies either. Anyway, Michaels did not want to job to Austin but instead give up the title the next night (he did this one year before when he was supposed to drop the title to Bret Hart before WM 13-the infamous Shawn lost his heart angle). McMahon told him to drop it and Michaels basically told him he would let him know the day of WM. At the time WWE was desperate to beat WCW and most people knew Austin vs McMahon would draw some business. Michaels had suffered a injury (at the time it was thought to be career ending) and was going to be out anyway. It would not have made Austin a strong champion if he just picked up the title from someone giving it up. The day of WM, The Undertaker found out about Michaels issues with dropping the title and basically confronted Michaels face to face and told him (and this is a true and confirmed story by all parties) that if he did not drop the title, Taker would drop him as soon as he got backstage....While the match took place, Taker even waited with taped hands at the entrance where the wrestlers come out watching the monitor telling everyone, Shawn better drop the title or he is finished...During the match HHH and Chyna were sent back by the ref and they actually saw Taker sitting near the entrance and avoided him. Shawn did the job and all ended well. Another spot Shawn was supposed to really sell was the Tyson punch. Shawn did sell the punch at first but then as he is laying on the mat, the camera zooms in on him and he is laying there with his eyes closed and he is chewing gum...Shawn would not wrestle for another 4 years. Today, Michaels is not nearly as bad as he was--this could be due to age and the fact he is not the top guy anymore (although he is going to be getting a huge push again very soon.)
7. The event probably will wind up being the highest or one of the highest paid attendance ever at a WM.
8. PPV buyrate should be in between 600,000-700,000, which means about $35m--WWE only sees a small portion of that.
9. Edge will be back in April-At this time scheduled for RAW but since Lesner is leaving, he may end up back on SmackDown....He got a decent crowd pop when they showed his promo at WM...
10. Undertaker is scheduled to go back to SmackDown. Again due to the Lesner situation, this could also change. He has been with the company now for 14 years--with the same gimmick which is almost unheard of.
11. Next RAW PPV is in Edmonton, Canada, which is a big reason Benoit got the belt. They should get some good numbers in Canada from him...After that, they will see what effect he has in the states. I hope they keep the title off of HHH McMahon for a while.
12. HHH will take some time off and possibly come back as his old HHH "bad ass" gimmick circa 2000 and pull away from evolution (notice the distance they kept from each other at WM)....He will come back as a face (good guy). As I mentioned in a previous post HHH looked out of shape (still gave a good performance though), so taking time off may not be a bad thing. He can work out a little bit, maybe do a cycle or two.
13. Steph McMahon has not been on TV that much since her wedding to HHH in October but will return soon (hopefully she didn't get fat with HHH).
14. Big pushes soon for..John Cena, RVD, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Billy Kidman and Jaime Knoble..
15. Final thoughts:::: Kane should go back to wearing a mask, Michaels should get another title run if Benoit does not draw-his WM preformance was amazing, WWE needs more surprises at these events (for $49.95-surprise me), WWE needs to keep the cards around 3 hours, Christian should get a push after the show he put on with Jericho, Trish should pose for Playboy or even better Hustler, They need to do something with Big Show (he makes $1m salary per year and his contract expires in 2009!!), Did you know Sable is close to 40!?-can you say MILF, The WM stage (the huge screen display where they walked out) was awesome, You would think Donald Trump would be in a luxury box, Undertaker has a crazy tatoo on his neck of his wife's name, Torrie almost pulled down Jackie's shorts exposing all of her ass crack but stopped :worried: ...Torrie is the hottest chick ever :p ...Do you think loud, blazing, exploding fireworks are the best idea in the middle of NYC?, Do you think HHH yells out how long he wants to keep the title when he is nailing Stephanie (the head of writing)?...that is it...the T-Rex is starting to wear off...I am going to sleep...

DEFINETLY

Do you think HHH yells out how long he wants to keep the title when he is nailing Stephanie (the head of writing)?...

instead of him yelling out "who's your daddy?" and her replying with "you are," he probably spanks her ass while yelling "who's got the title?" and she screams "you always will!"

that is it...the T-Rex is starting to wear off...I am going to sleep...

what, not going to axe yourself or hang yourself or jump out of windows this time? :D

Hell yeah!!! I think Glen Jacoobs (Kane) and the WWE wanted to get him away from the whole mask thing but the maskless, shirtless speaking Kane looks like a fucking retard. He now reminds of that big freak from the movie The Goonies. It a far cry from the old Kane who was menancing and cool.
