Moronic Goat fucker

I have office 97 running on win98.

I have just got hold of office xp.......

Should I bother to upgrade? Will Office XP be hunky dory with win98? IS it worth the effort upgrading?

Is it true that a lot of my cracked software - cracked with win98/nt/2k in mind - won't work with winXP?

I use cracked stuff on XP.
office XP is nice and I much prefer it over the older stuff.

whether or not you "need" it - I'd guess not.

whether or not it works with the other shit.. don't know. I have all XP and like it.

I would suggest getting an Ultra5 running Solaris 8 and use Star Office.

Or

G4, macOSX with Claris Works.
 
On the new VM it's nice.
Some features atill take a little longer, but something tells me a Moronic Goat Fucker isn't going to be making animated slides anytime soon.

O contrare my swollen friend. I'm rather clean shaven. And if you can't get something as simple as Star Office to run (it does use Intall Shield) then you need some lessons on basic mouse usage.

Star Office has been around for 5 years, hardly new. Claris Works has been around for 15 years, that's venerable in this industry.

I don't drink alcohol.


It's not that I don't like MS products. I think they offer a great solution for a solid chunk of the world. But since I do not have the luxury of working on a PC (we use Sun and Mac boxes) I do not have the need for their crash-worthy software.

I can e-mail you pics of my beer belly if you want :)

My next question is: Dreamweaver or Frontpage.. or something else?

I want to throw a site together in the quickest possible time.. for the moment I am not concerned about DESIGNING a site; I am just interested in CREATING a site using available templates....

I have both softwares cracked.
 
If you already have it, use Frontpage.

Unless you also have Fireworks, in which case use Dreamweaver.

You can get Star Office on Windows and Linux, too. The free version (called OpenOffice) is downloadable from www.sun.com.
 
You don't need Fireworks. Its an imaging tool.

But if you get good with Dreamworks, not having Fireworks is limiting.

But Frontpage should give the ability to easily make a site from templates.

I like the templates in Dreamworks better. The Club template is cool.
 
No, but if e-mailed nicely I might be able to get you some neato imaging software.
 
If you do a Normal UPGRADE, you will be pulling your teeth out to prevent biting off your tongue.

Backup, Format, Clean Install otherwise, chances are good that you will have intermittant errors and pains like passing a stone weekly.

im just fucking with you but your responce reminds me of the wierd ass starwars programming freaks we have in the back. Whinning and bitching about how unix is so much better than a windows platform. :rolleyes:

No . . . you can also use photoshop to do your comps and other graphics in.

ermmm.. what do you mean by comps? compositions? What compositions? You mean getting images to a certain file size?

The best platform for the Situation...

Lots of PC illiterate's and need of easy install and Maintenance - MS

IT Supported Business Critical Application Servers that Don't need to, or CAN'T be booted every week or Month = UNIX (some flavor)
 
Here's my "Best platform for the Job" list:

Imaging: SGI UNIX or MacOSX
Games: Win2K (I use XP)
School/text stuff: Anything
Programming: Solaris 8 or SuSE linux
Mathematics: Solaris 8 (something along the lines of an E10K)
WebMastering: Win2k or MacOSX

Yes compositions or creating a template, slicing it up and importing it into Dreamweaver.
