off time

when you are not cycling, say you did biceps and triceps and your really fatigued. how many days off can you take when your off, i only take one off while on, but i did arms triceps on monday, took of tuesday and did bi's and forearms yesterday. my muscles are fucking beat and there is no way i could do back chest or shoulders today. i guess i am feeling bad and just wondering whats the most days off you bros take when your off cycle, i am starting next week on my next so ive been off for 12 weeks. it sucks ass.
 
I lift 4 days a week now, on or off. Even when I change my workout schedule, I never take more days off. Right now I lift Mon/tues/thurs/friday. If I'm on, I go all out, more sets, more reps, more exercises, more drop-sets and intensity. When, on the rare occasion I'm off, I keep the intensity high, but drop the volume down a bit. Instead of 20 sets for chest, it's down to 12-13. Instead of 25 sets for back, it's down to 16-18... etc. I focus on maintaining strength and size, I lift just as hard but not as long. Seems to work pretty well for me. I stick with the heaviest weights I can use with good form, just do 1 or 2 fewer sets per exercise is all. Cut down the volume, not the weight or intensity. Or better yet, just don't come off, slam grams of gear into your body till you either b/c the Hulk, or you explode from intra-cephalic pressure :) ... kidding on that last part lol!

Not that your training split's any of my business, nor is it the topic of this thread, but I'm baffled as to why you'd hit your bis for a second time in the week before you've even hit another muscle group.

To answer the question, off cycle I only train 2 or 3 times/week (do a search for Realgains' article on training natty, good read). I agree with tux though, intensity must stay high. I aim to lift just as heavy while on or off, I just drastically reduce volume.

I was working out 4 days a week when I was of but now that Iam on I fond 4 days wasent enofe. :p
 
i haven't it says i did my tris on monday and bi's and forearms on wed, i didn't work my bi's twice
 
i want to but i'll have to leave out deadlifts. thats what i am thinking i'll do. deadlifts are just my favorite part. that bi workout radar gave yesterday just tore my arms apart

realy.I was thinking of doing that drag curl thing tomoroy.how was it.I have truble gitting a good pump in my by's.
 
dude it was fucking crazy thats why i am being a pussy today. after the first three sets if feels like your on winstrol the pumps are so crazy. my arms are tore up like when i first started pumpin 6 years ago. it also made me realize that it is much more important to have perfect form than doing more weight, cause i saw how effective it was at a lower weight than i am used to. try it i am never doing another bi workout without it

Yea, I gotta clear my damn system for at least 12, been hittin it hard for awhile, time to sit back and let my balls give me testost. for my w/outs and repair :p

Looking forward to the good old deca/test cycle again, this time with a few orals-dbol- at the beginning and then some diff. ones-winny,var- at the end...Something to look forward to you know...

That's why you shouldnt do tri's before chest, and bi's before back when you set up your training split.

This is normally my training order: legs, chest, tris, back, bi's, shoulder's

Monday Chest Tris, calves
Tuesday Legs-hard
Wed. off
Thurs. Back, bi's
Fri. Shoulders, all three heads, calves again
Sat. off
Sun. off

Do it up

yeah i know, i fucked up this week though, i usually start my week with chest but i did a shoulder workout sunday with legs and couldn't do chest. won't be doing that again, my shoulders are my weakness and i wanted to help progress them. your right though.

there's someone at the gym i go to who does two full cycles per year, but is ALWAYS on 25mg dbol per day even when off cycle.....and he keeps his volume/ training pretty much the same when either on or off, however he is able to make more gains when he is on cycle. I'm not so sure how smart being on dbol all the time is though.
 
its bridging, as radar said, all that is is not going off cycle, off cycle means no gear, time on = time off, so he is just on year round, i would look spectacular

dude i tried those drags 2 days ago and they fucked me up....i was only using a 50, call me a pussy cuz it was hard

Sorry bro, misread it. In any case, I don't like the fact that you're doing back-to-back arm workouts (especially considering I don't even think arms need much, if any, direct work) without even touching the 3 major muscle groups: legs, back, and chest. You already admitted you f'ed up though, so whatever.

In any case, days off will never hurt you. If I didn't like being in the gym so much, I'd take far more of them.
 
i agree. i am actually gonna be back on next week and i am gonna change my workout to dbbt's, wanna try something new. ive been doing the same thing for a while. u gotta understand that my arms are the only thing that i like on my body so i love working them out by themselves
