o/t Anyone do that eye surgery so u can see far again?

Contacts are getting too expensive and i just got an infection.. i dont like glasses, i feel dorky, paranoid when wearing them .. how much is this surgery so i can see far again without lenses.. How much $, Where to go? Does insurance cover any? Are there any problems with the surgery? i am almost 19, my left eye is -2.75, my right is -3.00.. sucks!!! should i get the surgery done now or wait till they get worse???? HELP ME SEE!!!

OK, as some who's got it about 5yrs ago, I highly recommend it. It is just great not touch those damn glasses and contacts again. But you should see a doc first, because similar to AS use you might be too young for it I'm not an expert but your eyes could change when you're young and any early laser surgery would be useless. But listen to what your doc says and definetely do it if he/she says its OK.

Strech, i think you are correct with it being called lasik surgery... I have heard of alot of people gettin it done.. but i just need some info from people who had it done.. for those who have had it done, where u get it done, how much $, how well it work, how bad where ur eyes before, did insurance cover anything, how long to heal..???????? etc..

Got it done a few years ago,I highly reccomend it.I do construction and I was in work the day after.My benefits covered it all($3400).I can give you great doc in jersey if you decide to do it.I think the starting age is like 23 yrs old.
