Most religious liberals believe that some sexual acts are sinful but that safe homosexual sex within a truly consenting and committed relationship are not sinful. It's funny how homo's can sit there and believe what's sinful and what's not when there are many biblical passages that condemn all forms of homosexual behaviors, using inclusive terms such as "sodomite" or "homosexual." That seems as clear as a bell to me.

And here's a little bit that should fire people up: So what if it really was genetic. Does that make it right? People are born violent and psychotic. Does that make their actions right? It's not a very good argument as far as right or wrong goes. People have depression and anxiety based on their genetics. They get medication and treatment to make them normal. Maybe homosexuals should get treatment and medication to make them normal. Keep in mind I'm playing devil's advocate here and these are not really my views. I'm just pointing out that even if it was proven to be genetic it wouldn't help the cause very much. People will find more reasons not to accept the lifestyle.
I personally believe it's a choice. But it's a little more complicated than waking up one day and deciding to be gay. Life experiences definitely have an influence on the subconscious decision.
Anyway, the topic is the public highschool. I don't really know how I stand on the issue. I can't say it's just segregation because there are plenty of schools that are all boys, all girls, all black, and probably more categories. I went to an all boys high school and it was a great experience. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. But at the same time it was a private high school. Calling this new school a public high school, even while it is privately funded, leads to the possibility of tax dollar support in the future. I don't think that is right. It's tax dollars supporting special interests which are not open to everyone. It's bad enough that my tax dollars are supporting the worst bunch of public schools in philly where I would never consider going. The school in question should stay as a privately funded school. I don't have a problem with that.
or maybe straights could take a pill and become gay so I could nab even more "straight" guys. Regardless of what everyone thinks all that really matters is what we each think as our own person. I will not try to convince anybody otherwise but I was born gay. If god truly is real and I do beleive I will be judged by my actions and not others words. I am a very given human, I am kind and caring. I love my other half and don't cheat. Are these not the same rules that straights live by? If you don't approve of who I sleep with fuck ya as I am not asking for your opinion. It's amazing how many " straight" always seem to appear on posts about gays ( this one not included). I to hated gays when I was married and with my wife for 6 years. I said many of the same things that many others who hate gays said. FACTS where I was hiding behind words. Find a straight guy who is secure and I mean truly secure in his sexuality and you won't find hate GUARANTEED. The same folks who hate gays love women on women sex. This is GAY and no different we just chose to accept one and not the other. If you truly beleive in what you say I have no other means but to offer my respect and walk away saying we agree to disagree. After reading many of the posts here are see there are a few who have well educated opinions that differ and a few more who are hiding true feelings behind glass windows and words. To them I say come out where open.

There are plenty of strait Christian people who get the shit kicked out of them for looking or acting “gay”. So if these bad situations are caused by god than he is obviously incompetent.
These witch hunts actually hurt at least as many straits as they do gay people.
Through out most of human history homosexuality was very well accepted. We where not hated until homophobic monotheistic religions became popular.
And you honestly think that Christianity marks a new enlighten that is here to stay? Christianity is still very well spread but Atheism is a lot more tolerated now than it was 50 years ago. And then it was still more accepted than it was 100 years before that. And in the Dark Ages you would be killed for being an atheist.
Not to long ago there was a news special talking about how the church is having trouble finding more priests.
Religion is already falling. This is not my opinion this is a fact. It will be here for a long time but it is only a matter of time before the majority will almost view it as a joke. Most people will still believe but hardly anyone will take it anywhere near as seriously as you do.
