NYC Lifters

Ok we've done a bench workout, but what about the other two? You know the Squat and Deadlift?

In about 4 - 5 weeks I need to try something heavy. Squat I mean. After 500lbs I start getting worried about broken bones, torn muscles, tendons and such. I only have one guy in my gym that has a clue. I need spotters. Not much over 500 which I can do easy.
