Nudity in Avatars....

digger did deal with this. he did have a sticky about this. the amount of nude avatars seemed to decrease after that. Digger's sticky was just up a few days ago wasn't it?

There are multiple sections devoted to nudity and sex, and a huge focus of this site is about the use of illegal drugs. This is hardly someplace to surf when you're at work nor is it wholesome family entertainment.

and like i said once, there's no "warnings" on the forums as to the content of them. i have no problem with nudity, however, when i first visited the pictures of women forum and was greeted with full frontal nudity, my children were here. no warning on the forum whatsoever. i wouldn't of even entered it if there had been a warning on it (well, at least not until they went to bed ). the chat forum, pictures of women, pictures of men, and possibly the pictures of our members forums need these "warnings" so a new member or a guest knows exactly what they're getting into.

There is an option to turn the av's off........but this does not help browsing guests who might be turned off by such displaysm and thus not support the site.

honestly, i don't know if supporting the site is an issue or not. isn't this site in the 70s out of the top 100 forums on the net? honestly, that says a LOT about EF. it says that the members enjoy the content of the site. it shows that the site has a lot of support. when you've got a site that gets that much traffic, do you think that you're doing something wrong?

not to be an asshole, BUT, there are times when I am parousing (sp?) the site at work innocently on the main page and I realize that the word "BUTTS" is at the top of the page in huge letters right next to a woman's ass in a thong. not tryin to start shit, just putting in my 2 cents. I like the nudie avatars, but if it isn't acceptable by management's standards then that's the way it is.

Pamela I wasn't referring to that avatar. I contacted you about that-you didn't contact me. I asked you if that was ok...you said "some people may have a problem, please change it as soon as possible." How long was it on the boards--1 hour?? The avatar I changed it with was of a female breast...which many mods have posted to and seen (will not mention any names)....one mod didn't think it was appropriate to have a pic of a woman's breast (with slightly covered nipple mind you)...others did. That is where the problem is.

Mods post "inappropriate" avatars too--way more "inappropriate” than the woman's breast pic (in my opinion)--shouldn't they be the ones making the examples?? If I am not mistaken you once had an avatar what looked like to be a half naked woman with glasses on...appropriate or not?? How much skin is appropriate?? Would I let my 8 year old son see chicks in thongs or see thru bras?? Probably not….But that is just what I would do—you could be different. And I could but will not could give you many examples of mods who have posted inappropriate pics (nudity or not)--all I am asking for is a detailed list of rules so no admin, mod or member gets confused. Don’t you think it would be easier that way?? Again, just show me a list of rules and regs so the confusion can stop and everything will be fine-it really isn’t that big of a deal. Right now everything changes day to day, mod to mod. When someone comes along and makes a statement to "use your best judgment" that isn't to specific...and again what offends you may not offend me...that is where the problem lies when there is no rule book.

Some of us have the ability to multitask at work which is how we browse this site. I'm so used to the way I take calls that i can be browsing this website while efficiently talking to a customer and typing what they say in another screen while reading. I also read the forums while on break and lunch. I to have noticed the increase in nudity in the avatars and i was even gonna posta thread yesterday b/c they were getting out of hand. The sys admins at my work are very loose when it comes to restrictions on what we can view and I would rather that not be taken away b/c someone sees a nude chick on my screen.

Is your boss cool with chicks in panties and bra or bikini or guys in thongs/speedos??

If my boss walked by and saw pics of women in bra and panties, she would definitely start to question what kind of site I was on. But if that's gonna be allowed especially at the size the avatars can be, I'll have to turn them off.
