A nuke powerplant has no business being that close to an active fault line, let alone an area that could be hit by tsunamis. I think when this thing comes to a head it'll be worse than Chernobyl.

it's way worse than they've been letting on. THat company is way in over it's head, this has the possibility to be a global thing shortly. We've all probably already been minutely dosed by it.

I've heard good things about the mini-reactors they've been working on at Oak Ridge National Laboratories. They claim to have a small reactor that fails worst case into the off state.
Yes - the biggest contractor for nuclear power plants is a Canadian company. They do a pretty convincing presentation on why it is the only way to go. I have sat through it a couple of times and was convinced they were right each time.
