I've been in the market long enough to understand aspects of it. just watch over the next few months and remember what I've said no matter if you believe what I've said or not. Many large cap corps have gone bankrupt multiple times. I can tell you haven't been following the wall street journal the last week.

No, I haven't, but even so, it's not a risk I'd take whether I were a big market player or a smalltime investor just looking to save up some retirement money throughout his life. I'd feel more comfortable putting my money somewhere that it could have been for the past 40 years and do OK and could probably be there for the next 40 years and do OK. United Airlines isn't the first company that comes to mind. We'll see, though.

Well I hope you are right and you make money. Personally, outside of a small trading profit, I don't see it happening, but who knows.

I can think of other places I would rather put my money right now.

Bad decision.

If you're going to speculate in this crack stock market, buy companies like NT, GLW and LU for short term trades while the market is spiking. Those companies have been putting up some huge ST % gains while nothing about their businesses has changed for the better.

NT & LU teamed up and when that news came up that is why their stock started moving up. LU was at 1.94 but is now down to around 1.50. Both NT and LU are going hand in hand in gains and losses right now. GLW had a lot of insider trading that sparked everyone's interest. That stock hasn't gained in the last 10 or so trading days.

TOY gets my vote for slow but steady gains.

Nonsense about the optical stocks. Those companies have shit fundamentals and are losing their asses. How do you explain the dozens of other sub $1.00 that have moved up? You're telling me CMGI has good fundamentals? It won't even be a viable company by the end of 2003, yet it has skyrocketed.
