I was so against this film from the actual conception. Reason being is that I was very much looking foward to the "darker" side of Supes being shown when they were talking about casting Nick Cage and then even doing a "Superman vs. Batman" a few years ago.

I about shit when I saw that Superman '06 looked so F'n similar to Christopher Reeve. I mean I thought they were just wanting to cash in on a legacy that should have ended with Chris.

Anywho, I read an article that basically said that this film to a great degree picks up where the last Superman left off, which totally explains the casting of the "look-a-like". After finishing the article there was nothing left to say but concept=good, Spacey=good, Bosworth=GOOOOOD!

I will be in attendance tomorrow.

I am MOJO

**WARNING**

DO NOT READ REPLY #11 IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE PLOT INFORMATION ABOUT THE MOVIE!

Nah, Lex Luthor killed him.

I like Superman, but I always preferred Batman & Spiderman. They seemd just a little more real, having to deal with relatives & bad decisions, their own internal struggles.

That is why I was so looking forward to the "dark" Supes, kinda like in Superman 3 when Supes gets split into good and bad Superman, and the bad was drunk, flinging peanuts at the bottles behind the bar.

I do have a reason I like the Chris Reeve films though, they just hold happy childhood memories, but I actually met Chris when I was 9 yrs old on the set of "Somewhere in Time", As a child, I lived a few hours away from the Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, Michigan, where they shot the film. My interest in working in the film industry was so huge even at that early age my Dad contacted a local makeup artist that was working the show and got us on set.

This was so huge because just a year before I was seeing Chris on screen as Superman! The first movie just me and my Dad ever went to.

Anyway enough of that! Thanks everyone for caring enough to post up! lol!

I was just looking forward to a diff kind of flick, but this looks promising now....I still hope they make the other type that follows the current books in the future, and after thinking about it.....this film may even open the doors for it to be made.
