my cell phone under the battery is a little round white sticker. if that gets wet it turns pink, which is what they check to determine if its been soaked enough to void the warrenty.

my friend did that and then took it to the ipod store asking for a refund and the lady basically told him to go fuck hisself.

then he sent it to bestbuy (where he got it) and they sent him 150$ worth of bestbuy gift certificate

If you plug your ipod into your comp and it's not recognizing it in your itunes or anywhere else....hold down the select and the menu buttons simultaneously for about 6 seconds.

most household insurance policies include a clause for accidental damage. if you have home and contents insurance, read your policy, and get the ipod out of the trash. not at all unethical. you might pay a small excess, but theyll pay for the bulk of the replacement cost

and water damage is easy to see. lying about that sort of thing is stupid, itll get picked up instantly.
