Not gaining weight on test

New member
Heres my cycle. ( i have posted similar posts before asking these questions but i am trying to get more info and advice)

this is my first injectable cycle .
weeks 1-5/6 400mg/week test cyp
weeks 5/6 -11/12 500 mg/week test enanth

i am just starting my 5th week and have gone through my entire 10ml bottle of watson test cyp. I just started the QV enanth yesterday.
Here is the deal..during the first 4 weeks of my cycle..i was using the wrong size pin (22g 3/4" pin ) i was told they were 1" and did not know any better.
Anyways this last injection i started using my 1.25" pins.
I ONLY SHOOT MY GLUTES but rotate them with my twice a week injections.
I have seen great strength increases...but have not seen but maybe 4lbs of weight (mostly water probably)
WHY AM I NOT GAINING> i eat alot of good food. But even if i didnt the ideal amount of food---i should still be seeing more gains right??
I have been working out for a long time so i am very confident in my routine and diet (so i will not go into details on them)

Because i started out using a too small pin on glute..is it just taking longer to absorb the cyp or was it just wasted. Or am i just being impatient.
I still have a good full bottle of enanth to go..but i just figured i would see more mass gains by now. Thanks.

RADAR has given good advice on this topic..but i am just trying to get everyones advice and insights on their experiences. thanks again.

is your test the real deal

?????

^ ^^ then it would have to be either diet or training, or if you had extra b/f when you started, you may be losing fat gaining muscle so the scale is the same.. just a thought....

THere's an idea. Pin size won't matter. I only use either 1/2" or 1" pin. I don't like the 1.5 Keep eating. Some of my friends swear up and down that they are eating a lot, but only take in three meals a day and no shakes or anything extra. If you continue to not gain any weight, I would end the cycle of whatever you are injection. I'd check the counterfeit board as well just to make shure that you have the real deal

Whiskey

Have you gained nothing or just a little?? What was your starting weight, and what is your weight now? And what have your strength increases been?

"good food" doesn't say anything, WHAT IS YOUR DIET LIKE? give us what type of caloric intake you're doing and ratios, protein etc...

yes, very possible. one of the cool things about AAS. :)

i don't gain all that much weight on AAS but definitely feel the difference in the way my clothes fit and how i look.

I would of stacked them together myself! If your nutts srunk its real..
Dont think you will gain 20lbs a month on 400 a week by its self..maybe 10 or less, but everyone is different...

I thought I had quit growing in week 6 of my cycle. One of the bros on the board fixed my diet and assured me that if i stuck to it I'd start growing again. This was last monday and I'm up 6lbs since then. I'll post the diet for you. Its a lot of food but getting big ain't easy.

Meal 1
2-3 EGGS, 7-8 WHITES, 1.5 CUPS OATS

Meal 2
2 PIECES WHOLE WHEAT, 2 TBS OF ANPB, 50G WHEY SHAKE

Meal 3
1.5 cups rice and half pound of LEAN BEEF, CHICKEN, ADD SALAD, VEGGIES AND 1TB OF OLIVE OILD

Meal 4
TUNA FISH SANDWHICH, ANPB SANDWHICH, OR TB OF FLAX, SALAD, VEGGIED

Meal 5
1.5 CUPS OATS, 50G OF WHEY

Meal 6
Post Workout Shake (WHEY AND DEX)

Meal 7
2 – 6 to 8oz steaks
sweet potato (AT LEAST 8 OZ, VEGGIES)

Meal 8
bedtime shake
1 CUP COTTAGE CHEESE, CUP OF MILK IN 50G CASEIN SHAKE, 2-3TB OF ANPB, OR 20-25 ALMONDS, NUTS)

See thats the good advantage of UG they are not make fakes out there, anyways the same happened to me it took about 6 to 7 weeks for Test E started to kick in before I started to gain weight!!! strength gains started first!!! one word of advice be patient and your diet looks really really clean to be bulking thats good because your gains your making is quality muscle and not putting a lot of fat, I say go by measurements intead of the scales, measure your arms, legs, chest etc... or by how your clothes fit!!
Just my .02 cents

you for sure need to measure, i am a hardgainer and get real frustrated when i dont put on weight, i'll go measure my arm and its 3/4-1/2 inch bigger than i know i'm doing something right. also have you been getting stronger or not bro. strength gains are the first thing i notice, and when i used sust it made me hornier than a dog in heat, so how is the libido, if your not getting stronger and you have no increase in libido its fake man

ok...sorry i did not post much of my info on first post..didnt know what kind of response i would get.

Ok. First thing. I am 100% sure that the gear is legit. I good friend of mine gets the QV enanth from source and the watson cyp was also obtained from a very close and reliable friend. both were in boxes with shrink wrap, with the seal on the top of vial that had not been popped. so i dont think that is the problem at all.

My stats are 5'9 170lbs 10-12%bf roughly- give or take (not been measured recently)

My diet could very well be the problem. I am a fairly busy person and i find that it is hard to find the time to eat the amount of food i want to. I am hungry all the time. But i do feel i eat plenty enough to grow.

- I usually wake up and eat two cups of oatmeal and 4 eggs. i usually try to eat an apple or some fruit as well.
- i generally drink a high protein(50g roughly)/cal(800 cal roughly) shake a couple of hours later
i generally hit the gym an hour or so after all this (generally) nothings in stone.
- after i workout i always try to eat a good 7-10ouce steak or pork chop, chicken. etc. with a good serving of broccoli and a good carb of some sorts. and a salad.
-i will generally eat a mid day tuna sandwich and maybe some more fruit
- i will than try and get in a good dinner very similar to my "lunch" -a good portion of meat with some greens and rice or potato.
- i will than get in a protein(50g)/cal(800cal) shake a couple hours before i go to bed.
** I find it hard to get the time to eat 8 meals a day
But this is how i normally eat on a good day== often i find myself missing a meal or not getting home till 1-2am and not getting a good dinner.

my training regement is good.
i often find myself at the gym for 1-1.5 hours a session and try and follow a schedule similar to this: I have been lifting continuously for a good 2-3 years.
day1: chest tri's
day 2: back bi's
day 3: legs, abs
day 4. rest
day 5. shoulders traps, abs, tri's (sometims)
day 6 rest
day 7 start over.
cardio every workout day for about 15 min before workout.

I have went to the gym today and weighed 174 with a full stomach so that is 4 lbs. but i think it was food.
I have had a very noticable strength increase. I am lifting much more in most all areas. My muscles are also swelling a bit but i feel as though i should be seeing more in increase.

once again...this is my 5th week- started at about 167lbs. just started 10ml vial of enanth

You know what the problem is. Fix it.

Why you started a cycle before having your diet in order is beyond me.

cardio every day when trying to gain weight is a no no. if your just warming up 4-5 mins is all you need.

He's doing 15 minutes/day. That's nothing. A couple tbsp of peanut butter more than makes up for those burned calories. The problem is simply that his diet as a whole is not in check. It's not like burning an extra 100-200 calories is what's holding him back.

It isn't difficult to count calories (the only time it's an issue is when going out to eat, but eventually you should be able to estimate fairly accurately). If you're complaining about not gaining weight, but too lazy to count calories, I don't know what to say.

I see the words "usually", "try" and "generally" alot in your diet description, which to me means you have no planned diet.

Everyone who has problems putting on weight during their cycles seem to share the common practice of eating meal replacement bars or those 800 calorie shakes. Ditch that crap, get yourself on normal protein shakes, and eat REAL FOOD.

There are alot of guys on this board that are busy during the day. If that's the case and you can't juggle your schedule on the fly, you need to have your meals ready at the beginning of the day. If you have time at night to cook one, cook four instead and throw it in the fridge. Carry a mini cooler with you with your bread, turkey and peanut butter. If it was easy to do, 50% of the population wouldn't be a bunch of fatasses. You have to take an objective look at your life and figure out how to fit everything in.

Good post.

The only thing that struck me as odd was the recommendation of "normal protein shakes" (I assume you mean straight protein, as opposed to weightgainers) as opposed to a high-calorie one...this for a guy who is having trouble gaining weight.

I think if he replaced those weight gainers with 800 calories of real food, he'd see some better results. Right now I think they're just an excuse to not take a look at his "real" caloric intake.

Oh for sure. I thought you meant a straight swap of weightgainer for protein powder, meaning less total calories consumed.

thanks guys..the weight is beginning to come on rather quick. Not sure if it is water weight or what..but i have put on about 5-6 lbs. since i first posted. I have noticed that i am putting a good bit of thickness on my core. Is this just an effect of test or diet?? I am just consuming as many good calories as possible..trying to stay away from fat cals.
