Nose Bleeds

I did back the other night and during my last set of pull ups I got a nasty nose bleed. This is like the 4th time this happend while working out. I dont have High BP at all. You guys ever get these from hard training?

If you are "supplementing" it's totally normal.

Also, as FZ said, having high bp all the time and having high bp while you're training are different things. It's not uncommon to experience a spike while lifting. If you are taking any gear or any ECA, it will increase the possibility for nose bleeds.

Im not taking anything. Thats why I thought it was strange.

As soon as I read this post I was thinking get off the damn D-Bol :fro:

But after reading your responses it sounds just like what the other posts said, and that is a normal spike due to strain from exercise. Some exercises elevate BP moe than others, Leg Presses being the #1 culprit that comes to mind.Don't sweat it, it means you're working hard and a BP elevation during intense exercise is no health concern as long as you have normal BP levels at other times.

I have had a couple, both whilst doing abs when I've really had to strain, reading how it's associated with D-Bol I don't want people who saw it happening to me to assume anything though.

I'm having at least three a day at the moment, while I have a cold. Since I'm blowing my nose so much, its inevitable.

I've had them lots all of my life. Had my nose quarterised to stop it happening, but thats been worn off for quite some time, and didn't help too much anyway. Not worth the pain, really ;) At least I know I can never be a boxer :D

I've had them probably three times during training, in recent times. Twice during bent-over rows and once during deadlifts. I'm so used to them that I don't really care too much...

if you just want to treat the symptoms, the blood that is, then stuff some tissue under your upper lip, wedge it in between your gums and lips.

How does that work?

I simply hold a tissue to my nose and pinch the top of it, making sure my head is level (tilted back will make the blood run down your throat, forward will promote more bleeding). Also, its important not to rub your nose soon afterwards as you'll probably dislodge the clots that stop the bleeding and make it start all over again.

If its minor and I want to carry on what I'm doing, I just stuff a piece of tissue up there and let it do the work.

i get them alot in the shower for some reason (no jokes!).

i havent got a nose bleed training before. very strange.

I've never bled from the nose, but I've gotten it on the temples and the other day I got one on my forehead after deads. BLOOOOOODDDD!!!!!!!!!
