Normally I'm anti-death penalty but this is pushin it...

I think the mother was using the washing machine as a crib for the child to restrain her and/or limit her movement...she placed the child in one machine and then pulled her out and put her in a nother...perhaps she was confused as to which machine she had preloaded with quarters...when the door shut the machine auto-started..I don't know,I'm fairly sure we aren't dealing with a very bright mother, but its hard to fathom that she would intentionally do this in full view of others..I wonder what the full video shows...the sensationalism of the story as is could be just what the media wanted to toss out there..just a theory..and no I'm not an attorney

im all for the death penalty. i think that people try to be too PC these days. people need to get some balls and pull the switch

I think thats fair comment , and will make a good defence against an attempted manslaughter/infanticide charge. I just posted what I first saw in the paper , clearly this woman is an unfit mother though.

Friends and neighbors expressed shock and disbelief.

``She wouldn't do anything like that. That's not Erma,'' neighbor John Herring told the TV station. ``She's a nice, loving mother who takes care of her kids.''

Ok BKM , how do you respond , still shoot em both , seems like there was no prior indication of such behaviour. No sign of info on father yet tho.
Here's a link to what the kid looks like , pre-wash of course:

WTF was the mother thinking using washers as "cribs"? I can see a child rolling off a change table while you bend over to pick something up. It happens in a flash in the middle of a diaper or clothing change when all-of-the-sudden one day the baby is no longer a "sack of cottage cheese with arms and legs" but can flip over and propel themselves. But to put your child TWO YEAR OLD into a washer to use as a make-shift pen while you are doing laundry? That just doesn't make sense AT ALL.

That is THE DUMBEST thing I have ever heard. And as sleep-deprived over-worked parents MANY OF US have done some things that in retrospect were PRETTY DUMB - BUT THIS IS INCONCEIVABLE!

I am speechless.

I have had four children inside of five years. My sister had three inside of the same time frame and I know of MANY PARENTS (BOTH MALE AND FEMALE that have had several kids) and NONE OF US WOULD EVER THINK TO DO SUCH A THING.

Honestly, Mandinka I don't know what to say.

Was this woman THAT STUPID?! And honestly, WHERE WAS THE FATHER? With this I am not implying that he should be up in his wife's business 24/7 but none of this makes any sense!

Seriously, Mandinka I haven't clue one what to say. There has got to be more to this than what is printed.

And I know all to well that one can not believe EVERYTHING that is printed. Unfortunately, too many other Einstein's can not grasp this comment.

Want to grasp a concept? Here's one. An apostrophe isn't used to pluralize anything.

What kind of WIMPS where at that laundromat that they couldn't even break the glass or pull the plug on the machine?

Do washing machines really LOCK that you can't even open the door? I never knew that.

The kids life is in danger, and they're dialing 911 and waiting for the cops. Kid could've been dead by then. Grab a hammer from the back, grab the vending machine stand, run next door to grab a hammer, anything. Don't wait 4 minutes for a cop to come by with a freakin' baton.

Sheesh.

Actually, thats a good point...about a month ago, my girlfriend started the wash, but forgot to throw a few things in there...so I told her i'd do it...and it was locked...I couldn't even shut it off to open it...once you start it, it goes till it's done. Not really safe if you ask me.

Got me on a typo. Yea, I am pretty dumb! PROOF POSITIVE!!!

I bet it REALLY galls you that I don't pay such close attention to your posts.

:D

Bon nuitte mon ami!

i'm only anti death penalty purely based on the principle that it would be worse to kill 1 innocent man who was wronly convicted than to let 10,000 killers live the rest of their lives in prison. but if there is solid video taped evidence of the atrocity then i'd be all for administering the same punishment that the perpetrator administered to his/her victims X2.

That is not a typo, you uneducated, classless fool.

The key that makes for the apostrophe is not particularly near the "n" key and is nowhere near the "s" key.

You were just too stupid to know.

Poutso mou enai mesa stoma sou, mavra skula.

just wait...i can see it now...

women receives 6 months probation...justice served...

women sues evil laundry machine corporation for
failure to provide adequate warnings against use
of the machine as a recreational device...and for
not designing it to prevent the placement of a
small child within...verdict, 50,000 compensatory...
2 mil, punitive...justice served...
