I've been on this board for a while now and I haven't seen too many people like TxLonghorn. He responds to 99.999% of all the posts, always has great advice, is kind to everyone, and lifts the spirits of many. Beleive me, I would be one of the last to nominate someone unless I thought they were extremely worthy of it! Well I'm not a great writer with fancy words but I type what I know, what do u guys think? I say he should be a Mod!

Sorry not to clear this w/you first Tx. Just something I beleive that had to be done!

I agree with this nomination.....Anybody you loves Fina that much, should be a mod!! :) ....Even if he a T-sip...j/k ofcourse Tx....you are a great addition to this forum...Fumunda

threads have no real impact on moderator selection.

There have been 100's over the past year that have
achieved...well...nothing.

On behalf of all Aggies, I would like to repudiate the movement to nominate anyone with the term "Longhorn" in the handle. It is my understanding, that all Longhorns seek sexual gratification from small to medium size farm animals, woodland mammals, anything domesticated, and occasionally, turtles. Actually, that's probably strengthens his credentials for being a moderator....I withdraw my opposition.

Chief Wiggum is clearly a delusional anarchist and would bring mayhem to Elite as a Moderator. I second his nomination as well.

The AMAF for MODERATOR Movement makes a lot of sense and will lead to massive protests and griping if left unfulfilled. A 12 year old, slow-minded, jobless, chronic masturbater makes for the perfect candidate for Moderator. Who else could regulate affairs on the boards better than he----step out of line and you are going to get a stfu already m0f0 :finger:...and nobody wants that!

Txlonghorn gets my vote...I always look for his posts...he knows his stuff and sets brothers straight without flaming 'em to death...
 
I agree...Tx is a great guy and I would like to consider him a friend...He is very knowlegable and always willing to help out. He has helped me a great deal with all my questions I have had and after all he is the one who got me hooked on this thing we call Fina hehehe There area couple great guys on this board, Tx, therealj, Bigjay would all be great mods and are accets(sp?) to this board

Fonz, I had to start someplace no? True, I have no idea on how a Mod gets elected but I figured he deserves to atleast be acknowledged. Who knows, maybe George will see this and it will start a spark that will get him promoted, who knows....not me that's for sure.

How's it work anyways?

Actually, I hear George is going to retire, and if that's the case, why not we go for the top: amaf/uou for Administrator. He can even rename the board: m0f0 Fitness.

He says, "yes... yes... my sons." I am honored to be called a "son" of someone of the ranks of him.

TXlonghorn is a good and knowledgeable asset to the board, but don't you think we have enough Mods as it is? Why can't he just stay what he is, an experienced vet, who gives good advice, and helps people out when he can? Being a moderator IMO is not some sort of status symbol or reward for having a lot of posts and being a good guy, etc.

Another thing, ever wonder why a lot of the current mods don't post much anymore? Its probably all the damn e-mails they get. They're too busy answering those to post anything. So, I feel like if TX becomes a mod, we won't benefit from his advice anymore. I vote that he stay just a vet and we continue to benefit from his advice without the "duties" of being a mod getting in his way.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

Yes, we do have many Mods but I haven't heard of a cut off point as to how many we are supposed to have. To receive status is not making them a god, it's a response to how well, how much, how often they answer questions and help people out! I really don't think it has anything to do w/ the amount of posts they has, after all, it's not like Tx has a billion posts, actually he has an average amount but it's the QUALITY of the posts that matter!

And if Tx was made a Mod don't u think he would take some pressure off the other Mods as in answering e-mails and helping people out? Is that not what a Mod's job is, to help people? A Mod u is someone u can put your trust in!

hey im a mod without being an mod..hell i didnt even know what a mod was when i joined....it took a month to figure out what bump meant..i still dont know what a fucking a bomb is:D

Txlonghorn is great guy. He's been helpful to me from day one. He's answered any question I have asked him, and went way out of his way to email me some info, that he gained nothing from, even though I was a complete newbie! He'd be a great MOD, but is a great source of useful info no matter what!!

Got a question on Fina, if Tx says it, it's gold!

Arent there already like 500mods here. I Mean if someone is helpful im sure thanking them, maybe send them an amp, or just be very grateful to them. I dont see the point of adding another 4 mods to a board.

IMO.....
 
Can't disagree with anything that's been said so far! Tx - if you look up the word moderator you'll see why people would like to see you made up, because of your attitude and the effort that you put into the board especially as was said before with the newbies! Not very many vets will answer newbies questions unless it's to flame them for not using the search engine! As a newbie it's hard to resist the temptation to get interactive with the board and receive some personal replies! This willingness to help is backed up with knowledge an even temperament and no evident ego - all the qualities that are required to be a GOOD moderator!
