Nolva vs Proviron

I've read some interesting things about using Proviron for an anti-e during a cycle -- and it seems to have many advantages over Nolva -- yet Nolva seems to be the more popular choice. Am I missing something on Proviron? Would one be better off with Nolva during a cycle? or with Proviron? Thanks for the feedback.

Use both...it seems to be the best combo. 20mg/nolv and 25mg/prov. Proviron has mild androgen properties, and will harden you up as well as boost the libido, while the nolv will protect your tits from gyno.

Proviron is a little harder to come by and a little more expensive.

The difference is Nolvadex blocks the estrogen from the receptor and Proviron actually eliminates it form the body or destroys it.

The two of them together is good too, but I would only use it like that for Pre-contest

Proviron inhibits the conversion of testosterone to estrogen, though it's strength in doing so is of some debate. It also binds to SHBG which leave more test in the unbound (read useable) state.

Proviron can be used to reduce bloating, maintain libido, and, as a SHBG magnet, increase the effectiveness of a testosterone cycle. It can also help reduce the incidence of gyno.


Nolvadex mainly binds to receptors in breast tissue. It is primarily used to reduce the risk, or fight the symptoms, of gyno.

There is some evidence it may reduce bloating.
