just invest in a couple of those old, bigger hearing aids. Place on each ear then just start looking around the room with no reaction if anyone attempts to speak to you.

Just go straight to the cake and start shoving it in your mouth. They will either ask you to leave or at least not expect you to talk with your mouth full. It works for me. few weeks ago, I had to go to a baby shower (puking right about now). I got there thinking that there is gonna be so many people, that I would be able to leave soon. Well, when I said that I am about to head home, I got the answer: "What? You just came here an hour ago!". I was like FUCK!!!!They are keeping time tabs on me!

we have one in Mississauga with line-up out the door every day.
I only go a couple times a year and have no problem with it.
I never get my moneys worth at a buffet as I can not eat like an American
