Hey guys my glute is huge right now been that way for the past 3 days, can't really walk or sit. Where do you go if you don't have health insurance? Walk in? Emergency room? And what do you tell the Doc? What questions should I ask before letting him know? Thanks guys

I do not have insurance and had an anxiety attack yesterday and went to the ER They will give you a number for charaty care they will help you with any medical bills and set up reasonable payment plans for anything you do have to pay

Look up health care-immediate care or urgent care centers. Most take $$$-some are open 24 hrs. Don't wait any longer. Go!!!! Before you start getting sick/feverish!!!! If you get staph you're so fucked.

if it's bad go to the emergency room ASAP! your health is more important.

you can go anywhere you want but you gonna have to out of pocket. bring your credit card. if you have to go the emergency room expect to pay a lot more than a regular office visit. do you have a doctor you can see?

if you have any abcess and need minor surgery to drain will cost you about $300 or $400 depending on where you are. you will be prescribed an antibiotic, like penicillin, which should not cost too much since problaby will be a generic.

surfer how old are you? i am an insurance man. if you are young, in 20s, you can get decent health coverage for about $50/month thru blue cross. in CA anyhow. good luck.

Not in my state-unless you're about to fucking die, bleeding out of your eyes and ears they'll turn you away with no insurance.

BTW-if you go to the ER-your bill won't be less than $1000-so avoid that if possible.

I had an abcess before went to may regular doctor was 63 dollars for the visit gave me a script for antibiotics and it was gone in like 5 days but you need to get this shit treated early or your going to be stuck getting it drained and all this other shit than you'll be spending money

gotta respectfully disagree here. they wont turn you away if you have a credit card. or cash. you cant blame health care facilities for not wanting to give away their services for free. they are a business with overhead, staff, etc.

an ER bill can be less than $1000. shouldnt cost that much for an abcess.

True dat. BTW-just be honest with the Dr. Call 1st and let them know what's up. If they don't make you feel 100% comfortable about getting treatment call around until you find someone that does. If it's not bad, expect to get a shot of antibiotics and have it lanced/drained. You'll get an RX for more antibiotics. I had an abcess in my tri years ago-the visit to urgent care was about $250. If you really wanna be a tight ass, don't fill the RX the Dr gives you and buy the fish meds at PetCo instead. It's the same shit, but a lot less expensive.

In AZ they'll want cash up front or proof of available funds on the CC. Last time I heard an ER visit was $500 just to walk through the door here. Then add cost of treatment , meds, can easily go over $1000.
