I HATE the N word! I transferred to a new school in the middle of my sr year in high school. The first day on the bus, I moved over and a black guy sat down beside me. I introduced myself and we talked on the way to school.

In the hall that day, a girl introduced herself to me and said that she and her bf would give me a ride to school, if I liked. I was trying to make new friends, so I accepted. The next morning, it was only her bf who picked me up and said we were going to go get her.

he didn't go get her, and he wouldn't take me to school. He drove around and around calling me a "nigger lover", asking me what kind of music I liked, if I dated black guys, etc. etc.

I thought he was going to kill me.

That was terrible!

I have no idea. he is probably half dead of crystal meth or something by now, anyway. Life itself seems to always take its own revenge on people like that...lol.

I have been watching Blazing Saddles a couple of times this week - just bought the DVD - and the behind the scenes interviews were golden. It really gives you some understanding about how much words and feelings can drive us apart, but at the same time make us laugh.

I can't see how some people can see using the term "nigger" as the same meaning in all situations. If your not a minority, you'll never understand. For a convict in prison to call someone else in prison a "convict", it just denotes a certain meaning. But if someone who isn't in prison calls an inmate "convict", it means a whole different thing. If someone can't see the difference in that, they simply don't have a good grasp of human communication.
If you can't see the difference in a black dude calling his friend "nigga" and a white guy calling the same guy "nigga" then you just don't understand that aspect of human interaction. If you are short, and someone just as short calls you "Shorty" its one thing. But if someone tall calls you "shorty" it takes on a whole new meaning. If that doesn't make sense to you, you'll never get it.
