810 has to be a better score than a whole lot more than 71% of peeps, so yes it's a good score. However, the minute you buy a house/car/business, it will drop like a mofo. Mine was an 820 before I bought my first house, then with cars, boats, business loans etc..... it dropped faster than your panties at a Backstreet Boys Concert. :)

That's good. I'm around that score too. Do you need a loan?
;)

1st off - :finger:

2nd - why would it drop when purchasing a house? I did purchase a car recently (financed).

First off, don't flip me off....I'll put your little eye-talian behind over my knee, junior. :)

Secondly, your score will go down gradually as you open new accounts, ie; the more accounts open the lower the score, if you have spotty payment records than eventually it will be bad credit, but even with 100% on time payment history the more you financially extend yourself, the lower the score.

Don't fret though little man, it will gradually come back up, just like your pecker at the same Backstreet Boys Concert.

Smooches,
Pitbullstl

Sorry but, I thought you were a little older. Not sure why. Maybe I think of you as more mature than other 25 yr olds I know? Fuck cant believe I just said that.

I figured closer to 28. I know, its only a few yrs difference, but 25 seems so young to someone as old and awesome as me.

Don't fight the feeling. Just let it happen. Natural.

Congrats on the score!!!

I remember when I broke 600, I was excited. It took me 2 years to climb out of that hole. Now I'm actually getting great offers from American Express (firs time they ever offered a card to me) and MBNA, which is more special since they threatened litigation against me. My current score is not as good as yours, but I'm staying on track with everything and a lot more responsible.

800+ is better then 71% of people for sure.

I always thought I had bad credit for some reason. I don't remember what my credit score even was when I bought the house at age 24. I bought it 100% on my own, put 20% down, and qualified for a 4% mortgage rate on a 30 year. Not bad. ;)

My house payments are lower than what I paid for my apartment.

they are way off saying 810 is only better than 71%, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off

you beat me my 5 pts. and u are younger than me.

I think average is 640 or so.

fuckin' anyone will lend now anyway it seems at ridiculously low rates to anyone over 500 lol, lender conservativity has gone out the windooooooooooooow (for now.......

I agree with pitbull. Open some more accounts and watch that number go south.

810 is impressive though.

No doubt. Still relatively young and it's not like I own a home or anything.

Credit scores follow a normal probability density function, I dont think a large company would lie to you about what range you fall in.

Anyway, good job.

yeah, but if you were to see the mean and standard deviation of that function, I bet the z score would tell you something different. There is just no way 29% of americans have a credit score about 810. Someone find the data, it's impossible. Lenders get really excited when a 720 walks in because it's rare.

It means that he has a better credit score than 71% of borrowers (IE in the upper 29%), not that 29% of borrowers have credit scores of 810.

I think maybe they use very loose statistics for credit scores

Credit Percent of
score borrowers

660+ 70%
620-659 18
580-619 9
550-579 2.7
520-549 0.3

They probably just threw that number out there without really knowing its significance.

Z scores? Hey I took that class.....well the girls that "helped" me took that class. We made a B. Now what the fuck is a z score again?

Anything above a 730 is considered "You will get approved for anything status".

810 is more like 95% better than the population.
