So long, Sharks! Avs advance! Woo hoo!

Game 1, Avs/Redwings this Saturday.

That's gonna be some good hockey. I'll call Avs in 7 games.

Any other NHL fans?
 
I want the Wings to win it all....but I think Roy and the Avs will take them out before they get a chance too.
 
I call Wings in seven.......we have home ice adavantage, so game 7 will be at home.

It will definately be a good series!

Always is. I got into hockey and became an Avs fan when I lived in Denver.

Definitely gotta remember to watch this.
 
I like the Avs as a team too, it is a team I love to hate also. Foresberg is the man!!! I just can't stand Roy. I respect his skill and play, but I just don't like him!
 
I was hoping SJ would make it through. Oh, well. I think the Wings will be able to take the Av's this year (or at least I hope). Av vs. Wings is one of the best modern day rivalries, always good hockey games.

I guess if I had the Red Wings Logo in my avatar I would hate Roy too....

Avs all the way....either way The Finals will be kind of boring compared to Wings/Avalanch....now THATS hockey!!

Don't get me wrong, I like the team except for him. IN fact Foresberg is one of my fav in the NHL. Not many can be out the entire reg. season, then come and lead the playoffs with points!
 
Also, one thing that amazes me is the amount of Wings fans you see around the NHL on away games. I kind of compare them to the late Dallas Cowboys....
 
I'd say wings in 6. Maybe even 5. They are playing up to their capability now. They stomped the blues. Always a great rivalary though, i just don't think anyone can hang with Detroit this year. At least we got the matchup everyone wanted. Time to see some hard hitting!!
 
Wings in six.

Yzerman has gotten a weeks rest. The Dominator is back on track. Wings look like they did the first part of the year.

Been some great hockey this year thats for sure.

Oh yeah, and i still hate the AVS.
 
If the Leafs make it past Carolina they will get killed by the winner of the Avs-Wings Series.
Roy is an ass but the best goalie in NHL history, the Avs finally played like the defending champs last night. They will have a tough time against the Wings - Yzerman, Hull, Fedorov, Lidstrom and Co.
I LOVE PLAYOFF HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!!
 
Sorry for the bad news but neither team in the Eastern Conference can remotely compare to the skill/talent in the Western Conference. Winner of the Cup will be either Wings or Avs, I'm goin Wings in 7 but I honestly think the Avs are stronger.

Detroit needs to step up on power plat situations thats for sure, but i smell a 4-2 or 3-1 victory today.

Who cares about the West right now. All attention should be going towards the East with Carolina and Toronto. The Leafs will come out on top.

Mark my words ladies and gents, The leafs are going to the Cup.
 
Its hard to come back from a 3-1 deficit, that last game before Toronto's 1-0 victory hurt the Leafs. So now its 3-2 going back to Toronto. i think they have a good shot at pulling it out, and i hope they do. Wings/Leafs cup matchup would be classic.
 
Challenging Dominators goal stick? That was the most chicken shit candy ass thing ive ever seen during a crucial playoff hockey game. Even Melrose and crew were all over Hartley for that.

Oh well though, be basically screwed his team out of some power play time, and made an ass out of himself in the process.

I have a feeling that Hartley got some mis-information about the stick...or maybe Hasek set them up and had bad sticks out in the open, then grabbed a good one.

Melrose was right....that was a BS call!

It doesn't matter now.....it's still going to be a battle to the end!

The Canes are resting up... the winner of tonights game better rest up!! A tough 7 game series like this will take it's toll on them.
