Next day soreness

I have a question about being sore the next day. If I work out my legs really hard, for example, the next day I can't walk.

Would it be OK to do a really light weight set of squats or something like that to stretch the muscles. I feel that it does help with the soreness and I want to know if this is detrimental to the healing of the muscles.

Maybe like <50% of what my work weight is.

I don't see anything wrong with doing a light set the next day. I also suggest light sled dragging etc... I used to do a set or two of leg extensions and leg curls the day after a squat workout...to help get the soreness out.

I do very light weights, slowly, high reps (20+)

Just remember that your "next day" work should NOT be hard at all. Extremely light...to get the blood to flow back through those sore muscles. Look at Spatterson's post (sticky on the women's board) about active recovery.
